XAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates applying for this exam must carefully review the detailed eligibility criteria, which vary for domestic and NRI candidates.

Educational Qualifications

The academic qualification requirements for XAT 2025, applicable to admission in all XAMI-affiliated colleges and other MBA institutions accepting XAT scores, are as follows:

• Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of 3 years or its equivalent from a recognized university, in any discipline.
• Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree or awaiting their final year results are eligible to apply for the XAT exam.
• Final-year students must submit their bachelor’s degree certificate and mark sheet by the end of the admission year.

These criteria ensure that candidates have the necessary academic background to be considered for admission to MBA programmes through XAT scores.

XAT Exam Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to take the XAT exam in 2025. This means individuals of any age can apply, whether they are recent graduates or professionals. However, all applicants must meet the minimum academic qualifications required for the exam, regardless of their age. This inclusivity allows a wide range of candidates to participate in the XAT examination and pursue admission to MBA programmes offered by various institutions accepting XAT scores.

XAT Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria & XLRI Eligibility is the same

It’s important to note that the eligibility criteria for the XAT exam and those for XLRI are aligned. For the XAT 2025, there are no minimum mark restrictions imposed by XLRI for applying to its PGDM course.

However, specific eligibility criteria may vary depending on the course pursued, while the fundamental requirements generally remain consistent across programs at XLRI.

XAT Eligibility Criteria for NRIs

NRI candidates seeking admission to XLRI institutes must submit valid GMAT scores. However, they are also required to complete the XAT registration process as it is mandatory for admission consideration. With their GMAT scores, NRI candidates can apply for MBA courses in Human Resource Management, General Management, and Business Management offered by XLRI.

XAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria for XLRI courses

Over 160 institutes participate in the XAT and accept XAT scores, with distinct eligibility criteria for the XAT exam and the specific programs. Currently, XLRI Jamshedpur offers three management courses: PGDM in Human Resource Management, Business Management, and General Management. General Management Programme

• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years in any discipline.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in the public, private, or non-governmental sectors.
• XAT entrance exam scores or GMAT scores are accepted.

Human Resource Management and Business Management

• A bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a recognized university is mandatory.
• Final-year students can also apply, provided they complete their bachelor’s degree before June 10, 2025.

Who is Not Eligible for XAT 2025?

Candidates who do not meet the requirements for their bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification by the specified deadline will be considered ineligible for XAT 2025. Additionally, those holding degrees from non-recognized institutions are also ineligible to take the XAT. Furthermore, the following factors can render candidates ineligible for XLRI admission:

• Candidates who fail to meet the minimum eligibility criteria, such as providing an invalid GMAT score or falling below the required percentile in the XAT exam, are ineligible.
• Candidates who provide inaccurate information or engage in unfair practices during the exam are excluded from XAT eligibility.
• Applicants who cannot produce the original copies of required documents or information by the specified deadline are not considered eligible.

XAT Registration 2025

The registration process for the XAT entrance exam will commence on July 15 and will be conducted online. Candidates who meet the XAT 2025 eligibility criteria can apply through the official website, xatonline.in. To register for XAT 2025 Registration, applicants need to complete the online application and pay a fee of Rs. 2200.

XAT 2025 Admit Card

XLRI will release the XAT admit card online at xatonline.in. Only candidates who have successfully submitted their XAT 2025 registration form can download the admit card using their XAT login ID and password.

To enter the exam centre, candidates must bring their XAT admit card along with a government-issued photo ID proof. Therefore, it is recommended to download and print the admit card for future reference. Candidates should download the admit card well in advance to avoid any last-minute issues.
