Age Criteria:
The minimum age required by the contender to be eligible for WBJEE 2025 is 17 years as on December 31, 2025. The contender must have been born on or beforehand December 31, 2002.
Academic Qualification:
The contenders should have qualified for their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics together with any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as obligatory subjects with discrete passing marks (in both theory and practice where applicable) in all the three matters said above in regular class mode.
Engineering Programmes
- Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed their 10+2 level exams or equivalent from a Board recognized by the concerned Central or State Government.
- Qualifying subjects: Applying candidate should be passed in the 10+2 level with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects with Biotechnology/Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/Computer application as any one of the optional subjects.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates in their 10+2 level should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates). Also, the candidate should be passed in English subject with 30% marks.
Pharmacy Programmes
- Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed their 10+2 level exams or equivalent from a Board recognized by the concerned Central or State Government.
- Qualifying subjects: Candidates applying for admission into pharmacy programs should be passed in the 10+2 level with Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects with Biotechnology/Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Biology/Computer application as any one of the optional subjects.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates in their 10+2 level should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates).
- Candidate in 10+2 level should be passed in English subject with 30% marks.
Marks Required:
General category contenders must have secured an aggregate of 45%, and reserved category applicants would have scored 40% in the above three subjects to be suitable for WBJEE 2025.
Domicile:
To be considered as the residence for West Bengal, the contender should be a resident of West Bengal for ten years consecutively as on December 31, 2025, or the parents of the contenders would be permanent inhabitants of West Bengal with a permanent suburban address in the state.

Qualifying Marks for WBJEE 2025
General Academic Qualifications for admission to Engineering/Pharmacy Courses are defined below:
- For Engineering: Passed class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics and any Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
- For Pharmacy: Passed class 12 examination with Physics and Chemistry and any one of Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Applications as compulsory subjects.
- Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40%) for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/OBC-C/PwD in all three subjects.
- Passed English in class 10+2 exam with at least 30% marks.
- The board of the said qualifying exam must be recognized either by the Central Government or State Government.

Candidates aspiring for admission to all B.Tech courses except ‘Jute & Fiber Technology’ at the University of Calcutta must have passed class XII or equivalent exam from any recognized Council or Board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. They should have obtained at least 60% (55% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in the Science group, taking the subjects mentioned above together with distinctive passing scores in all three, excluding native first language and another language as a second language and EVS with minimum 30% marks in English. For Jute and Fibre Technology Should have passed class XII or equivalent exam from a recognized board and council with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (50% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in the subjects mentioned above, excluding vernacular first language and other language as second language and EVS and 30% marks in English. |
Jadavpur University (Faculty of Engineering and Technology) | Should have passed ‘10+2’ or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (45% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in the three subjects.

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences | For admission in the B.Tech (Dairy Technology) course at West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, the candidates should have qualified class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in each of these subjects in regular class mode.
They should have secured at least 50% (40% in the case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. |
Neotia University | For B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering & Robotic Engineering
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Computer Science as compulsory subjects with at least 60% marks in these three subjects. For B.Tech in Other Branches For admission to all B. Tech courses except Marine Engineering at Neotia University, the candidates should have passed class XII or equivalent exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with 60% aggregate marks in these subjects. For Marine Engineering Should have passed class XII or equivalent test with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 60% aggregate marks in these subjects. They will also be required to secure at least 50% marks in English in either 10th standard or 10+2 standard. |
