Technical Requirements for VITEEE 2025 – Exam Device Requirements

The VITEEE exam day guidelines for 2025 specify that students must use both a primary and a secondary device with a stable, high-speed internet connection. During the exam, invigilators will monitor students continuously. Candidates are advised to keep their cameras on and ensure no materials or unauthorized items are present around them.

To ensure access to the VITEEE 2025 exam portal, the following device requirements must be met:

Primary Device Specifications:

• Apple macOS: 64-bit macOS, with a minimum version of macOS 10.11 (El Capitan).
• Microsoft Windows: 64-bit Windows on AMD or Intel CPUs, with supported versions including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
• Ubuntu Linux: 64-bit Ubuntu on AMD or Intel CPUs, with supported versions Ubuntu 18.04 and Ubuntu 20.04.

• Android Mobile: Must have a front-facing camera, Android OS version 8 or above, and either Chrome browser (version 80 or above) or Edge browser (version 45 or above).

• Bandwidth: A stable connection with a minimum upload/download bandwidth of 256 kbps is required for the entire test duration (30 minutes for pre-test checks and 90 minutes for the actual test).
• Power Backup: It is advised to use UPS support during the exam and ensure power backup for WiFi if it is connected to an electrical power outlet.
• Data Usage: A minimum of 1 GB of data is required, with a recommended speed of 512 kbps for both primary and secondary devices.

• Device Assessment: The test platform will check network and device capabilities and allow access only if all requirements are met. Failure to comply will prevent access to the exam.
• Restarting Exam: Once started, the exam cannot be restarted.

VITEEE 2025 Slot Booking
