VITEEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Vellore Institute of Technology will publish the VITEEE 2025 eligibility criteria with the official notification on its website. Candidates should review the detailed eligibility requirements necessary to take the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination 2025. Until the updated criteria for VITEEE 2025 are available, candidates can refer to the eligibility information from the previous year provided below.

Nationality

• Eligible: Resident/Non-resident Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
• Foreign Candidates: Can apply directly through the foreign category.

Age

• Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2003.
• The date of birth recorded in the High School/SSC/X Certificate will be considered valid. Candidates must provide this certificate in original as proof of age during counselling/admission; failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Qualifying Exam

• Candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in their qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
• For candidates belonging to SC/ST or those from Jammu & Kashmir/Ladakh and the North Eastern states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura), the minimum aggregate required is 50%. Proof of community/nativity should be provided during counselling to be considered for admission.

Marks Needed in Qualifying Exam

• A minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology is required.
• SC/ST candidates, as well as those from Jammu & Kashmir/Ladakh and the North Eastern states, need a minimum of 50%.

Year of Passing

• Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination or be appearing for it in 2025.

VITEEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria: NRI and Foreign Candidates

NRI Candidates

• English: Must have English as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination.
• Education: Should have completed 12 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum Marks: Must have an average of at least 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology/Biotechnology (PCB) in 10+2 or equivalent examinations.

Foreign Candidates

• Schooling: Must have studied in an English medium school.
• Subjects: Must have studied Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects at A level/Form VI/Senior VI or its equivalent. The third subject can be Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Electronics, Biotechnology, or Biology.
• Minimum Marks: Should have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in these subjects in 10+2 or equivalent.

Eligibility for Admissions

Candidates who pass the VITEEE 2025 exam will be eligible for the VITEEE counselling process. During counselling, seat allotment will be based on the candidate’s merit, seat availability, and the choices they lock-in. Students will have the opportunity to select their preferred campus and B.Tech program during this process.

Reservation Criteria in VITEEE

Here are the requirements for documentation and certificates for specific categories:

• SC/ST Candidates: Must provide their SC/ST certificates as proof of their category.
• Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir and North-Eastern States: A Certificate to Prove Nativity is required. This applies to candidates from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

Important Note: Failure to submit the required community or nativity certificate during the admission process will result in the decision of the institute being final regarding the candidate’s admission.
