UIIT HPU CET is popularly known as the University Institute of Information and Technology Himachal Pradesh University Common Entrance Test. It is a common entrance exam conducted for the applicants to provide admission to the applicants.

The entrance exam is conducted by the University Institute of Information Technology and the Himachal Pradesh University – Shimla. Both the university organize and manage the common entrance exam.

Applicants who secure higher marks in the entrance exam are eligible to get admission in undergraduate courses in the field of engineering. These courses are also offered by both universities equally. The entrance exam is conducted at the state level.

UIIT HPU CET 2024 Application Form 

Information in regards to the application is as per below:

• UIIT HPU CET 2024 B.Tech Application Form will be released soon.
• Application forms have been available in online mode for the applicants.
• Applicants need to visit the official website of the university and register themselves to fill the application form.
• Applicants will receive an application number from the university once the registration is done.
• Applicants need to log in to the website using the application number and fill the form.
• Applicants need to fill all necessary details in the application form carefully and upload scanned images of the documents like photographs and signatures.
• After filling the form completely, applicants need to take a printout of the application form for further usage.
• The application form needs to be submitted on the official website itself.

Application Fee

The important information related to the application fee is listed below for the reference of the applicants:

• Applicants need to pay the application fee as it is mandatory to make payment of the fee to appear for the entrance exam.
• Applicants need to pay Rs 1000/– as an application fee for the entrance exam.
• Before paying the application fee, applicants may refer to the official website of the university to get details related to the application fee.
• The application fee once paid will not be refunded back.
• Applicants can pay the application fee by debit card, credit card or by net banking facility also.

UIIT HPU CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The information in regards to the eligibility criteria is always very important and we have listed a few of them:

• The applicant must have cleared the HSC exam or equal to any known university or board,
• Also, the applicants should have also cleared the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their SSC & HSC.
• The applicants who belong to the General/OBC category should have achieved at least 50% in their HSC exam.
• The applicants who belong to the ST/ SC category should have achieved at least 45% in their HSC exam.
• The applicant should not be more than 22 years of age.

UIIT HPU CET 2024 Exam Pattern

• The Question Pattern will be divided into two parts as described in the syllabus section.
• The complete paper will be for 4 hours (2 hours for each part)
• The question paper will have 200 questions in all (100 questions in each part).
• The questions in the question will be MCQ-type questions.

2. Aptitude test (analytical and logical reasoning), General Knowledge (related to Information Technology), English (communication skills)

UIIT HPU CET 2024 Exam Admit Card

The information in regards to the admit card is as per below:

The Applicants should carry a valid ID proof along with the Admit card to the exam center. If in case the applicant forgets to carry the admit card to the exam hall, then they will not be allowed to write the exam.

After downloading the Admit card if the applicant finds any mistake then they can approach the university officials for the same and get it rectified. The admit card will be check by the supervisor at the exam center. The Admit Card will be visible only to the applicants who have cleared the eligibility criteria.

Steps to download the Admit Card: 

• The admit cards will be available online.
• The applicants have to visit the homepage of the website.
• Log in with the credentials.
• Also, enter the application number and the DOB and click on view.
• Once the admit card appears on the screen.
• The applicant can then print copies of the document

UIIT HPU CET 2024 Exam Result

The information in regards to the results are as per below:

The Result will be released soon only once the officials have checked on them and this will happen only after the exams are over. The applicants will be able to see the results only from the official website. The applicants not only have to check the result but they also have to look for the merit list and the cutoff marks as well. As the applicant will be able to understand if he is selected for the counseling on the basis of the merit list and the cut off marks.

Step to view & download the result:

• Go to the official website.
• Click on the result tab.
• Enter the Roll Number and the DOB
• View the result first.
• Save the document and then print it.
• Make extra copies of the result.

UIIT HPU CET 2024 Exam Counselling

The information in regards to the counseling process is as per below:

The Counseling process will start only once the results are declared and the counseling will be held in HPU (Himachal Pradesh University). The seats will be allotted to the applicants on the basis of their scores achieved in the entrance test. The officials from the university will prepare the merit list on the basis of the results and accordingly allow the seats to the applicants. As per the university terms, only 60 seats will be available to the justified applicants. The applicants have to carry all the required documents while visiting the counseling venue.
