TS Polycet 2024 Seat Allotment (Released), Dates – Get Allotment List Here

TS PolyCET 2024 Seat Allotment has been Released on 30th June 2024. Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test to Every applicant desirous of seeking admission into Engineering/Non-engineering Diploma courses can apply online for TS POLYCET 2024.

For eligibility criteria, a candidate passes in the SSC or its equivalent examination recognized by any state/ central Board. An applicant who is appearing for SSC on the current year exam is also eligible to apply.

Such applicants shall get certain credits for certain subjects employing exemption, as decided by an expert committee, as they have already studied in 10 + 2, 10 + ITI, 10 + Intermediate (Vocational) and 3-Year Degree Course in Sciences, as the case may be, by opting for extra credits, a student can finish the Diploma earlier than the stipulated period.

For admissions, institutions offering diploma programs are classified into regional institutions and state-wide institutions.

• 85% of the available seats in Government / Aided Polytechnic/ Institution shall be filled by applicants belonging to Osmania University Area and the remaining 15% unreserved seats shall be made available to both local & Non-local applicants depending upon their ranking at POLYCET
• 85% of the seats in each State-wide institution/course shall be filled by applicants belonging to the three University areas namely

• (1) Andhra University Area,
• (2) Osmania University Area and
• (3) Sri Venkateswara University Area in the ratio of 42:36:22 respectively and the balance 15% seats as unreserved.

• The seats in Quli – Qutub – Shah Govt. Polytechnic, Old City, Hyderabad shall be filled by applicants who have resided within the jurisdiction of Quli – Qutub – Shah Urban Development Authority for not less than four consecutive years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the SSC or equivalent examination

OR

• Applicants who are local applicants of Osmania University Area whose parents have resided within the jurisdiction of Quli – Qutub – Shah Urban Development Authority for a total period of seven consecutive years immediately before the commencement of the SSC or equivalent examination of the applicants.
• Admissions into Private, unaided, Minority Polytechnics are subject to the issue of Government orders.
• Candidates may note that those admitted in the following State-Wide Institutions are eligible for Multi-Point Entry and Credit System (MPEC).

1. Institute of Printing Technology, Secunderabad.
2. Institute of Leather Technology, Hyderabad.
3. Institute of Electronics, Secunderabad.

As separate POLYCET tests are being conducted by the respective States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the applicants of Telangana State intend to seek admission into the courses offered in Statewide institutions of Andhra Pradesh State, at the ratio of 42:36:22 in AU/OU/SVU regions respectively besides seeking admission under 15% unreserved quota offered in Andhra Pradesh State shall appear for POLYCET conducted by Andhra Pradesh State.

An applicant who qualified in POLYCET and has passed 10 + 2, 10 + ITI, 10 + Intermediate (Vocational) or 3-year Degree Courses in Sciences are eligible for Multi-Point Entry and Credit System (MPEC).

Mode of Seats filling

All applicants are eligible to compete for Open competition (OC) seats and they will be filled first followed by the seats earmarked for reservation categories.

However, the seats vacated by the BC/SC/ST applicants in the OC category shall be filled by the respective category applicants as per G.O.Ms.No.550 Higher Education (EC-2) dept. dated 30-07-2001.

• If sufficient numbers of applicants are not available to fill seats reserved for Scheduled Tribe [ST], they may be filled by suitable applicants from Scheduled Caste [SC] and vice-versa.
• If the required number of applicants is not available from both categories, the unfilled seats shall be added to the general pool of the local area. ‘Konda Kapus’ and ‘Konda Reddy’ residents in the Scheduled areas alone shall be deemed to be ‘Konda Kapus’ and ‘Konda Reddy’ of Scheduled Tribes [ST].
• The Scheduled Tribes [ST] / Scheduled Castes [SC] / Backward Class applicants seeking admission shall produce a Community Certificate in the prescribed Proforma.
• The applicants claiming themselves as SC/ST/BC applicants who do not produce necessary certificates in the prescribed form or produce certificates in the improper form will not be considered as SC / ST / BC applicants (as the case may be).
• The caste claims of BC / SC / ST applicants are subject to verification and report by the Commissioner of Backward Classes Welfare / Director of Social Welfare / Director of Tribal Welfare respectively.
• The admission of the applicants is provisional till the genuineness of the claim of BC / SC / ST applicants is certified by the above-mentioned respective authorities.
• If a sufficient number of applicants of any particular group of Backward Classes namely, A, B, C,& D, are not available to fill up seats reserved for that group, they may be filled by conversion to other BC groups as per rules in vogue in the order of merit of POLYCET.
• If no suitable applicant is available in any of the five groups of the Backward Class then the seat may be filled up from the general pool of the same local area.
