TNEA 2024 Rank List has been released on 10th July 2024. Candidates interested in getting admission to Anna University to make their future by engineering courses; can fill out the application form online.
No entrance exams are conducted for candidates; admission will be made based on the 12th board result. Those candidates will be eligible to get admission to Anna University; only they can fill out the application form for TNEA.

TNEA 2024 Rank list
TNEA Rank List 2024 has been published on 10th July 2024 on the Website. All participating candidates must log in by entering their registered email and password to check their ranks.
TNEA 2024 Counselling is Starting on 22nd July 2024. Anna University will prepare the Rank list of TNEA for each category of students based on the normalized marks obtained by candidates in their class 12th or equivalent examination.

Procedure to Check TNEA Merit List
The candidates can check the TNEA merit list by following the procedure to check the TNEA merit list.
- Candidates have to visit the official website of TNEA.
- The official page will be opened on the computer screen.
- Candidates have to enter their email id & password.
- Click the “Login” button to get their rank card/rank list.
- Candidates are advised to save and print the rank list/rank card, which will be required during counselling.
Preparation of the TNEA Merit List
The following is preparing the TNEA merit list given below for candidates.
- The sum of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths divided by the sum of maximum marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths are the minimum eligibility marks.
- The aggregate mark or cutoff mark is the sum of Physics marks obtained scaled to 50, Chemistry marks scaled to 50, and Maths marks scaled to 100.
- Therefore the maximum aggregate or cutoff mark is 200.
- All the marks obtained from the different boards of studies were normalized using the formula.
- The candidates must obtain the equivalent marks in class 12th or equivalent conducted by various Boards or Authority and in the same subjects in the Class 12th examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu through normalization as the formula below.
- Aggregate mark or cutoff mark = The highest marks obtained by other boards x 100 / highest marks obtained by Tamil Nadu Board
TNEA Random Number
The TNEA Random Number has been released on 12th June 2024 on the website of Anna University as per the overall rank and community-wise rank list. There will not be any separate announcements.
Through the counselling call letter, the candidates can know their rank separately. Based on random, the candidates will get the random number to allocate the seats for counselling, and those who will get a high random number will be assigned to the merit list.
TNEA Cut Off
The selection in the merit list is based on TNEA minimum cut-off marks; as on the cutoff marks, the candidates will be eligible to get admission to Anna University.
Those candidates will not get the minimum cutoff marks; they will be disqualified from the admission procedure. The Cutoff will be determined by evaluating factors such as last year’s Cutoff, the number of candidates applying for admission, average marks, and more.

The candidates can check the Cutoff through the official website of TNEA.

TNEA Counseling Procedure
The counselling will be conducted through offline mode. The selected applicants should be present at the counselling necessarily. The TNEA Counseling will be held Online mode from 22nd July 2024. The qualified candidates will be shortlisted in the rank list, and they will be called out for the counselling session. If the candidates cannot come to the counselling centre, they can authorize their parents to come.
The seat allotment will be done based on the merit list and communal reservation. The candidates will have to select their preferred colleges and courses during counselling, and seats will be allotted based on the preferences of candidates. The candidates must submit all required documents, which will fail, and applicants will be disqualified after successful allotment.
The paid counselling fees will be adjusted in the tuition fees. All selected candidates must pay the counselling fees, and document verification of the applicant will be done after the seat allotment. If the rank of the applicants changes due to a re-evaluation of marks, they can attend the counselling as per their new ranking.
