TANCET 2025 Admission Rank List will be released in 2nd week of April 2025. The Anna University of Tamil Nadu will declare the rank list of TANCET. As per the candidate’s performance in the exam, the University publishes the rank list. Candidates who appeared in the TANCET Entrance Examination can download the rank list through the official website of Anna University.
TANCET is the state-level examination organized and maintained by the Tamil Nadu state. This examination is organized for those candidates who wish to get admission to a post-graduation master’s degree.
Based on the rank list, candidates get admission to the various college institutes in Tamil Nadu state and are called for the counselling process. Candidates get admission based on category. The ranks list is prepared based on the GATE Category, TANCET category, and sponsored category.

GATES Category Wise Rank List
For engineering or technology candidates rank list will be prepared based on the GATE 2025 qualified score in an appropriate mark of Engineering/Technology.
The rank list has been prepared based on the GATE 2025 qualified score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers and TANCET 2025 with a weight of 70:30, respectively, for candidates who belong to Engineering Science XE, Life Science XL.
The standard rank list will be prepared for GATE Engineering/Technology, GATES Engineering Science XE and Life Science XL.

- The TANCET category rank list is prepared as per the candidate’s marks obtained by the candidates.
Sponsored category rank list:
Rank list prepared based on TANCET Exam. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
TANCET Counseling Procedure
- The counselling process refers to a process where candidates get the seating arrangement and verification of documents.
- Based on the candidate’s merit list, candidates will be called for counselling. Only selected candidates will be eligible for the counselling process.
- Counselling for the M. tech admissions will be through TANCET 2025, the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Exam Admissions 2025.
- Candidates can get admission through two channels: one for the GATE-qualified candidates and the second for the TANCET 2025-qualified candidates.
- Application forms will be separate for both categories of candidates, and the merit list will be prepared for the same.
- After the announcement of the counselling process, candidates will have to attend the TANCET 2025 process to verify their documents, seat allotment, and confirmation of the admission process.

Factors Affecting the TANCET 2025 Cut Off.
Based on the factors below, the authority will set the cut-off marks.
- Availability of vacant seats.
- Marking Scheme.
- The difficulty level of the exam.
- Previous years cut off.
- Reserve categories.
- Numbers of the appeared candidate.
Category-wise Cut Off
The authority will publish the category-wise cut-off for TANCET and GATE-qualified candidates.
The cut-off will be different for different categories, varying every year. The cut-off will be released a few days before the commencement of the counselling.
The cut-off is a valuable parameter for the authority to screen the candidates for admission. So, scoring cut-off marks in the TANCET 2025 Exam is mandatory.
TANCET Exam Cut Off: Expected
The TANCET exam is a state-level examination organized and controlled by Anna University.
This exam contains 100 questions; the paper will be an MCQ (multiple) with four alternative options, leading to 1 correct answer. Evleadingn will be for one make.
