TANCET 2025 Choice Filling will be Started in 4th week of May 2025 for M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Arch. Course (GATE Category). Degree Programmes. This provisional allotment typically signifies the preliminary allocation of seats to candidates based on their performance, choices made during counselling, and availability of seats in the participating institutions. During this phase, seats are allocated to candidates according to their ranks and preferences submitted during the counselling sessions.

The seat allotment process aims to match candidates with available seats in various postgraduate programs such as M.Tech, M.E., M.Plan, M.Arch, MBA, MCA, and lateral entry to MCA courses. Conducted by Anna University, Chennai, the counselling process involves shortlisting candidates based on their ranks for participation. Candidates must attend the counselling sessions offline and visit the designated venues with their necessary documents for verification.

Throughout the counselling process, candidates are called according to their ranks for seat allocation and verification of documents. Candidates must adhere to the schedule provided by Anna University, ensuring they carry all required documents for verification to facilitate a smooth admission process into their respective courses offered through TANCET 2025. As per the rank, a list of candidates is called for counselling.

TANCET Counseling 2025

The counselling will start after the TANCET 2025 Exam for Postgraduate courses. The authority of Anna University will organize it after the merit list. The selected students will participate in counselling. When the counselling is done, the students will get seats in the desired college in Tamil Nadu. The counselling date will be produced as per the rank of the students.

After completing each round of counselling, the aspirants will be able to go through the seat availability of the college. Based on the seat, the counselling session will be determined. After the counselling process of TANCET  2025, exam-qualified candidates eligible for the exam will be allotted seats in one of the participating institutes of Tamil Nadu. After each round of counselling of TANCET 2025, candidates can check the seat availability status of participating colleges.

The number of counselling rounds will depend on the available seats. The counselling process includes verifying documents, allotting seats, etc. Selected candidates will be called for counselling, whereas candidates have to pay for the counselling process. The fee for the counselling process is classified category-wise.

Counselling Details

The procedure for seeking admission to MBA, MCA, and M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Degree programs for the academic year 2025-2026consist of the following two steps:

• Appearing for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2025 on 22nd March & 23rd March 2025.
• Applying for admission to the admitting authorities concerned.

Candidates are advised to look for particular advertisements to be released by the admitting authorities for admission, as shown below.

TANCET Counselling Process 2025

The seats will be awarded through the consulting process. On the performance of the candidates for the entrance exam, the seats will be awarded to the candidates. The candidate’s secure ranking is published on the website with the result.

Applicants must attend consultations with original documents. After the allocation of seats, candidates must pay the membership fee. After sending the original documents to the institution where the candidate wishes to be admitted, the candidate will receive the HOD letter from that institution. Without attending the council, no candidate can obtain admission.

TANCET Admission 2025

Candidates who score more than or equal to the qualifying score will be summoned to the board. Candidates can be admitted to the courses offered after completing all the procedures related to admissions.

After assigning vacancies, candidates can present themselves at the affiliated institution/institution at the specified date and time. Applicants must send the original documents to the university to which they were sent by sending admission fees.

Filling the Form

• The aspirants must visit the Directorate of Technical Education website, Tamil Nadu.
• After going there, they will click on the Register Online Application Form
• Where you need to fill up the name of your preferred course and college
• Then submit the information in the form, such as contact no and email for communication.
• The end of the registration process is to submit the application fee.

Choice Filling

You can choose the college and course you like when you have provided all the necessary details in the registration form. They must enter their preferred course and college name on the top of the form.

Reporting at the Center

After selecting courses, you must inform the college of the essential documents during counselling. Those not reaching the counselling centre on time will not undergo the further admission process. The documents will need to be brought for their authentication. If any documents are proven to be authenticated, they will be dismissed from the counselling round. Apart from verifying their documents, they must secure their preferences by going to the centre.

Seat Distribution

The next stage in the counselling is its seat distribution session, where the students get a seat as per merit to opt for management courses. Initially, the students will be provided seats per filled choices, rank achieved in the merit list and the number of seats at the rank.

Reporting at College

Once you get the seat, you must visit the distributed college. They will need to inform you within a specific time. Otherwise, the seat will be given to another student, and you will lose the chance of getting it. When you have been given the seat, the students will pay the fee for the seat and pursue the course you might be chosen during counselling.

• All Semester Mark Sheets (Xeroxing both sides) / Years of qualifying Degree Examinations.
• Provisional / Degree Certificate.
• Permanent Community Certificate Card for BC, BCM, MBC & DNC, ST, SC, and SCA (Permanent card / electronic form/digitally signed e-certificate).
• Transfer Certificate.
• TANCET 2025 Mark sheet.
• TANCET 2025 Hall Ticket.
• District Medical Board Certificate (for Differently Abled Candidates only).
• Nativity Certificate only in electronic form / digitally signed e-certificate -If applicable.
• Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee certificate -If applicable
• Original Demand Draft for Rs.300/-.
