TANCET 2024 Scorecard has been released on 3rd April 2024. TANCA 2024 is commonly known as Tamil Nadu Common Admission. It is conducted to provide admission to eligible applicants in different courses. However, the official authorities will provide admission to only those applicants who have successfully cleared the GATE or TANCET entrance exam with good grades. 

Applicants who want to appear for the admission procedure need to fill out and submit the Application form available on the university’s Official Website. GATE qualifiers are instructed to appear for the TANCET 2024 entrance exam to get admission to the institution and appear for the TANCA 2024.

TANCA 2024 Application Form  

The important information related to the application form is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

• The application form has been available on the official website.
• Applicants need to visit the website and register themselves on the official website.
• After registration, applicants need to start filling out the application form.
• When filing the application form, applicants need to enter the necessary details in the application form.
• Applicants need to enter all the details in the application form carefully.
• Once the form is filled out, applicants must pay the application fee and submit the application form.

• Class SSC and HSC mark sheets
• Qualifying Degree Certificate
• Transfer Certificate from last attended institutes
• Valid GATE 2019 scorecard
• TANCET  2019 scorecard
• Permanent Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate of Disability for PWD (if applicable)
• Nativity Certificate
• Copy of Identification Certificate obtained from the Head Quarters Tahsildar

Application Fee

• Payment of application fees is an important part of the application process.
• Applicants must pay Rs 500/- as an application fee if they belong to General Category.
• Reverse Category applicants are instructed to pay Rs 250/- as an application fee.
• Applicants must pay the application fee online by debit card, credit card, or net banking.
• The application fee is nonrefundable.

TANCA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Official authorities will provide admission to the eligible applicants based on the merit list of TANCA 2024.

In order to get admission to the institution, applicants need to appear for the counselling and seat allotment procedure conducted by the official authorities.

Anna University conducts the admission procedure. The important information related to the eligibility criteria is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

Educational Qualification:

• To get admission to the institution, one must have completed a B.Tech course from a recognized institution.
• However, applicants should also hold a valid diploma course of 10+3 years from a recognized university.

Age criteria:

• Official authorities have not decided on an age limit for the applicants to appear for the admission procedure.

Qualifying marks:

• The general category applicants in the qualifying exam should secure a minimum of 50% marks.
• And more than 45% of marks should be secured by the reserved category applicants.

Scorecard:

• One should hold a valid scorecard of TANCET 2024 or GATE 2024 to get admission to the institution.

Domicile:

• One should be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu state at the time of admission.

TANCA 2024 Merit List 

The important information related to the merit list is mentioned below for the applicants’ reference: A merit list will be prepared by the official authorities of Anna University to provide admission to the applicants in the institution. However, the official authorities will prepare the merit list for the applicants’ reference in August 2024.

Applicants will be able to check the merit list prepared by the official authorities on the official website of the university in online mode. Official authorities will prepare a merit list of the applicants based on the marks secured by them in the TANCET 2024 and GATE 2024 entrance exams.

Applicants who have scored well in the entrance as mentioned above exam will be eligible for admission. However, applicants can check the merit list with the help of the GATE application number/ TANCET hall ticket number and date of birth. A separate merit list will be prepared for the TANCET and GATE entrance exams.

TANCA 2024 Selection Procedure

Once the merit list is released, official authorities will conduct a counselling session for the applicants. The counselling session will be conducted in offline mode in the university itself. To get admission to the institution, applicants are instructed to be present physically and mentally for the counselling session on the decided date and time. Applicants are also instructed to carry all original and attested copies of necessary documents for verification.

However, applicants must also pay the counselling fee in the counselling round, as the authorities have decided. Applicants need to pay the counselling fee in offline mode. The counselling fee needs to be deposited by demand draft. And the DD of the counselling fee should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University” payable at Chennai. General category applicants are instructed to pay Rs 5300/- (inclusive of Rs 300/- as counselling fee) at the time of counselling. Reserved category applicants are instructed to pay Rs 1150/- (inclusive Rs 150/- as counselling fee) at the time of counselling.

Official authorities will allot seats to the eligible applicants once the counselling fee is paid and all the documents are submitted for verification. Official authorities will allot seats to eligible applicants in the institution based on the merit list and preferences. However, applicants will get a provisional seat allotment letter from the authority. Once the seat allotment procedure is done, applicants must report to the allotted institution for confirmation.

TANCA 2024 Counselling 

Accepted contenders will tentatively be called to participate in TANCA 2024 counselling in the third week of August. The seat allotment and advice of TANCA 2024 will be directed offline.
