There are the important dates of RGUMPET mentioned for the candidates; those are going to apply in this examination to complete their M.Phil & Ph.D. program.

RGUMPET Application Form 2024

The RGUMPET Application Form will be available soon and those candidates are wishing to get admission in the M.Phil & Ph.D. program from the various affiliated colleges of Rajiv Gandhi University, can fill the application form through online mode by following the procedure mentioned below.

• The candidate should have to visit the official website of Rajiv Gandhi University.
• The applicants will get registration links on a webpage and they have to click on it and submit all the necessary details required in the space.
• After submitting the details, the login ID and password will be provided to the candidates and they will get the application form.
• In the application form, applicants need to enter all the required details and upload only a scanned copy of passport size photographs and signatures. The rest of the documents should be uploaded after being selected for admission.

Application Fee

The candidates may apply online and pay the Rs. 400/- only as an entrance fee with relevant documents.

RGUMPET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Those applicants are going to apply for this examination; they must have to check their eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Eligibility criteria details are mentioned below.

• The applicants must have a Master’s degree in the University or an equivalent degree recognized by the University in the subject concerned with 55% marks.
• There shall be a 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates.
• The final year of qualifying examination candidates can also apply in this examination.

RGUMPET 2024 Exam Pattern

The applicants should have preferred the exam pattern for the better preparation of examination and through the exam, pattern candidates can understand the structure of the question paper. The exam pattern details are

• Type of questions: The question paper will contain 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will usually contain many sections. 25 MCQs that examine language ability, reasoning, general awareness, mathematical aptitude/data interpretation and analytical skills expected of a University level candidate. 75 MCQs that examine domain knowledge of a given course.
• Interdisciplinary courses: M.A (Anthropology/Education/Mass Communication/Sociology), MBA, MCA and MSW, all 100 MCQs will examine language ability, reasoning, general awareness, mathematical aptitude/data interpretation, and analytical skills. The candidate will have to choose one correct answer. 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• Duration: The written examination will be of two hours duration.

RGUMPET 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for each PG program will be the pass course syllabus of the corresponding UG program offered by RGU.

For M.Tech (CSE), the syllabus will be identical to the GATE syllabus for Computer Science & Information Technology (CS).

For M.Tech (ECE), the syllabus will be identical to the GATE syllabus for Electronics and Communications(EC).

For M.A (Anthropology/Education/Mass Communication/Sociology/MBA/MCA/MSW), the syllabus will consist of English language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness, and analytical skills.

The RGUMPET Answer Key will be displayed to the candidates on the official website of Rajiv Gandhi University on the provided schedule.

Those applicants have given the examination of RGUMPET; they can check the answer key by visiting the official website provided on important topics. Through the answer key, applicants can calculate and estimate their marks.

RGUMPET Seat Reservation

The seats will be reserved for the candidates; who will have qualified marks in the examination. There will be 50% of the seats of the Ph.D. program shall be reserved for the Open category, 25% for CSIR-UGC JRF holders, and 25% for M.Phil degree holders.

In case of no reservation of seat due to less than 4 seats than merit for M.Phil/JRF/Teachers shall be based on the overall percentage of marks obtained in respective degree exam (M.Phil/JRF/Postgraduate) converted to index percentage respectively with the open category candidates.

RGUMPET Merit List 2024 

The Rajiv Gandhi University will prepare the merit list of the candidates on the basis of their marks scored in the entrance test & viva voce on the official website.
