Punjab JET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For Diploma Level Engineering Courses:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th/ SSC exam prescribed by AICTE from a recognized board.
• Admission Basis: Admission will be based on the relative merit of candidates in the qualifying exam.
• Seat Reservation: 85% of seats are reserved for candidates from within the State of Punjab. 15% seats are open to all candidates from outside Punjab.
• Domicile Certificate Requirement: Candidates falling under the 85% seat reservation category (resident of Punjab) must submit a domicile certificate.

For Diploma Pharmacy:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam prescribed by a recognized board. Must have passed the 10+2 level (Science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics subjects. Alternatively, candidates must have any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the above exam.

• Admission Basis: Admission will be based on the relative merit of candidates in the qualifying exam.
• Seat Reservation: 85% of seats are reserved for candidates from within the State of Punjab. 15% seats are open to candidates outside Punjab on an All-India basis.
• Domicile Certificate Requirement: Candidates falling under the 85% seat reservation category (resident of Punjab) must submit a domicile certificate.

Punjab JET 2026 Merit List

Admission to Punjab Polytechnic or Punjab JET 2026 will be determined based on the relative merit of candidates at the 10+2 level. Merit lists for Engineering and Pharmacy courses will be issued separately. 

These lists will be accessible on the website by 3rd week of September 2026, coinciding with multiple rounds of counselling. Students will participate in subsequent counselling rounds based on their placement in the final merit list, streamlining the admission process and ensuring transparency in candidate selection.

Punjab JET Reservation Policy
