Puducherry NEET Counselling 2024 (Started), Registration – Get Schedule & Procedure Here

Puducherry NEET UG 2024 Stray Round Seat Allotment has been Released on 6th November 2024. The 3rd Round Allotment List has been Released on 17th October 2024. The NEET will be conducted online mode. The Puducherry NEET Counselling 2024 will be conducted by the MCC (Medical Council Committee). NEET is the national-level entrance examination to provide admission to MBBS and BDS Courses offered by various government and private medical colleges in India. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the exam. From 2024 onwards, the AIPMT Exam was replaced by the NEET examination.

The counselling is done online and will commence after the declaration of the NEET Result. The Medical Council Committee will manage the counselling procedure. All the Medical Institutions are providing admission in MBBS/BDS courses based on the NEET score.

The counselling for 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota Seats will be conducted separately in all the medical and dental colleges. The MCC will conduct centralized counselling for all category candidates. For the management seats in private medical colleges, candidates have to apply separately to various colleges.

NEET Counselling for 15% All India Quota

The All India Quota Seats of 15%, the candidates who will appear in the entrance examination, and only those candidates who will appear in NEET Counselling 2024. The candidates who will obtain marks above 15% All India Cut-off can participate in All India Counselling. In 15% of AIQ counselling, all state medical and dental colleges participate in offering admissions in their colleges.

In this counselling, the candidates will get admission to medical colleges located anywhere in India. After the counselling process, the seats are allotted based on all India ranks of the candidates and filled choices. Candidates participating in the counselling can also participate in state quota counselling of their respective states.

State MBBS/BDS Counselling 2024

The 85% state quota counselling will be conducted for providing admission in the state medical and dental colleges in government and non-government colleges. Candidates seeking admission and qualified the NEET Counselling have to register on the website. The counselling schedule and details will be announced on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare websites and the Medical Education Directorate of States.

The respective counselling authorities will organize the counselling as per the rules and norms for admission in medical colleges/dental colleges. The candidates are advised to check the sites to get notifications about counselling.

Reservation Criteria

The candidates who will claim the reserve category benefit should produce the relevant document. The horizontal reservation will only be considered if seats will remain vacant in the vertical reservation. The percentage reservation in each category is given below:

• Registration: Candidates have to register to appear in the counselling process.
• Filling Choice and Locking: After registration, candidates must fill in the choices of colleges and courses and lock it.
• Seat Allotment: After the first round of counselling, the candidates are allotted seats. Seats are allotted based on rank and choice preferences.
• Modify and Lock: If the candidate is unsatisfied with the allotted seats, they can modify the choices and lock them again.
• Reporting to Allotted College: The seats will be allotted to the candidates; they must report to the allotted college to confirm the seats and admission.
• Second Round of Counselling: If the candidate is unsatisfied with the allotted seats, they can proceed to the next round of counselling.
