NLU Assam 2026 Application Form will be Released on 15th July 2024 through CLAT 2026. National Law University & Judicial Academy application process includes the candidates who apply for their concerned entrance examination i.e. CLAT. For this,

NLU Assam 2026 Admission Procedure 

Admissions to NLUJAA are made through competitive entrance examinations followed by the Counselling Session organized by the concerned entrance examination. For B.A., LL.B. and LL.M., the candidates have to clear CLAT. In the event of the Ph.D. program, the candidate must appear for the entrance examination being carried out by the University. The candidates may also need to attend an interview following clearing the entrance test. It should be noted that candidates with specific qualifications may be exempted from the entrance test.

The candidates must clear the CLAT qualify for admission. Applicants who are appearing for their qualifying examination would also be able to request and appear for the test, provided they pass through the concerned examination and produce the only proof of the results in a time of admission. Once the candidate clears the CLAT, they are going to be called in for the counseling session that they will be allotted seats into the college they would prefer.

The selection of candidates is going to be on the basis of merit. Candidates selected must submit the related documents and pay the admission fees if any. The candidates belonging to this reserved category shall be required to submit the necessary documents from the respective competent authority in order to prove their claim to the reservation.

For admission to this program, the candidates must go through either a 3-year or a 5-year integrated LL.B. degree with a minimum of 55% marks. The candidate will also have to clear the CLAT. entrance examination to be considered eligible. Candidates who are popping up for, or awaiting the outcome of the qualifying examination could be displayed for the entrance test if they submit the proof of results at the very moment of counseling.

The candidates are also required to qualify the Admission Test conducted by the University. Candidates with specific qualifications are excluded from attending the test. Candidates who cleared the entrance test, as also exempted candidates, will need to submit a Preliminary Proposal. According to their merit and the Preliminary Proposal, the candidates will be referred in for the interview.

NLU Assam Ph.D. Admission Test: The Admission test is made up of a total of 25 MCQs along with 5 short explanatory questions (out of 10). The bifurcation of marks is listed below:

Pupils must score at least 55% marks in (50% for SC/ST) the Ph.D. Admission Test order to qualify for the test.

Syllabus for Ph.D. Admission Test: For MCQs, questions will be prompted from Legal & Logical Reasoning. For descriptive & essay, questions will be asked from topics of Contract Law, Jurisprudence, Personal Laws, Constitutional Law, International Law, Criminal Law, Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Corporate Law & Intellectual Property Rights.
