The NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is the national-level entrance test, which the National Institute of Technology organizes on a rotation basis in the various National Institute of Technology of different states. The Exam will be held in May 2024.

NIMCET 2024 Exam Pattern

The NIMCET exam pattern will contain the types of questions, marking scheme, syllabus, medium, etc.; applicants who have applied for this examination should prefer the exam pattern for better preparation. The applicants should have to check the exam pattern mentioned below.

• Examination Mode: The examination will be organized offline (pen-paper-based).
• Medium: The question paper will be asked in the English language only.
• Exam Duration: The duration of the Exam will be two hours.
• Exam Timing: The Exam will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
• Section: There will be four sections in the question paper: i.e. Mathematics, Computer Awareness, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, and General English.
• Type of Questions: In the examination, objective-type questions will be asked of the candidates.
• Total Number of Questions: 120 questions will be asked in the examination.
• Maximum Marks: The examination will be 480 marks.

NIMCET 2024 Marking Scheme

• Four marks will be given to the candidates for each correct attempt.
• Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
• Candidates are advised not to attempt such a question which they will not be sure of the correct answer.
• No marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions.
• The negative marking will be done. Multiple answers are indicated against a question.

NIMCET 2024 Question Weightage

The NIMCET question paper will contain four sections Mathematics, Analytical ability and logical reasoning, computer awareness, and General English.

NIMCET 2024 Syllabus

The authority will recommend the syllabus for the candidates, and the applicants should prefer the syllabus for better preparation. The syllabus details are mentioned below.

• Mathematics: Set Theory, Probability, Statistics, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Trigonometry.
• Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning: Logical situations & Facts are given in the passage.
• Computer Awareness: Computer Basics & Data Representation.
• General English: Comprehension, vocabulary, Basic English Grammar (like usage of correct forms of verbs, prepositions, and articles), word power, synonyms and antonyms, the meaning of words and phrases, technical writing.

Essential Instructions for the NIMCET Examination

Candidates should have to follow the critical instruction of NIMCET mentioned below.

• The applicants should have to visit the examination centre along with an admitting card.
• They should not have to carry Mobile Phones, Calculators, or any other electronic gadgets at the examination centre.
• Candidates should not do any rough work or put any stray marks on the OMR sheet.
