NEST 2025 Result/Rank Card will be declared in 2nd week of July 2025. It will be available only through Online Mode. NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) is a national-level exam organized for the 5-year admission of the Integrated M.Sc.

Through this exam, candidates will obtain admission to the National Institute of Education and Scientific Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai, Department of Atomic Energy- Center of Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

NEST 2025 Result

Candidates cannot see their results online mode on the official website.

• NEST 2025 Results will be Declared in 2nd week of July 2025. There is no other way to check the result.
• Candidates can verify this by entering their registration number/application number and date of birth.
• Candidates must keep it until the end of the admission procedure.
• NEST Cut-Off 2025 will be released online mode. The cut is the qualification candidates must get on the exam to be eligible for admission.
• The NEST 2025 Board will be conducted separately by the two participating institutions. Candidates who will appear on the entrance examination will be eligible for rounds of counselling.

NEST 2025 Result Date

NEST 2025 Merit List

Candidates can check the NEST Merit List on the same day of the announcement of the result. In the NEST Exam, five sections include the general section of 30 points and four sections of subjects of 50 points each. Section 1 (General Section) is mandatory to try.

Candidates can try “so many” subject sections. The NEST 2025 Merit List will be prepared based on the score of a general section and the top three scores of the other topic sections. In other words, the section in which the candidates get the worst scores will be discarded when calculating the merit list.

NEST 2025 Cut Off

NEST 2025 Cut Off will be decided on many factors. The cut-off marks will decide the selection process of candidates appearing in the NEST 2025. The following are the factors that affect the cut-off:

• Number of Applicants that appeared for the NEST Exam.
• None of the candidates have passed the exam.
• The difficulty level of the question paper.
• The number of seats available.

How to Check the Result

Candidates should follow the following steps to check the NEST 2025 Results:

• Open the official website. (Link will be provided above.)
• Click on the “NEST 2025 Result” link.
• A new page will be displayed on the screen.
• Now, fill in your “Roll Number” & “Date of Birth” OR “Application Number” & “Date of Birth”.
• Then, click on the “Go” button.
• Check your result.
• Take a print copy of it for future use.

Tie Break Rules

When two or more candidates have an equal total score, the candidates with the highest score in the general section will get a higher ranking. If the tie persists, the two candidates’ best scores will be compared in the thematic section. Candidates with the highest score in one of the subject sections will get a higher ranking.

If the tie persists, the candidates will receive the same provisional rank at the time of the NEST 2025 declaration, and the tie will be broken by comparing the 12th class and the date of birth in this order at the admission/consultation.

NEST Counseling 2025

NEST Counseling 2025 is Starting on the 1st week of August 2025. The board will be organized by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS separately for admission to the M.Sc course. Candidates who are short-listed are only eligible for the counselling procedure.

The NEST 2025 Board will be delivered offline on university campuses. Candidates must be physically present on Council Day. Applicants must also bring their original documents with two self-copied photocopies.
