NEST 2023: NISER Counselling (Started), Merit List, Dates, Admission procedure

NEST 2023 CEBS Merit List has been Released now. Results has been Declared on 10th July 2023. Answer Key has been released on 26th June 2023. The Examination was held on 24th June 2023. The National Entrance Screening Test is organized by the National Institute of Science Education and Research. This National Level exam is held once every year for 5-year education programs. 

NEST 2023 exam would be an online exam for applicants willing to get admission in the Biology, Mathematical, Chemical and Physical sciences courses. The courses for this exam are only available at the National Institute of Science Education and Research and UM-DAE CEBS or The University of Mumbai.

Dates are one of the most anticipated notifications about any exam. When the exam dates are announced, students get the time to plan and prepare for the exam. The application form for NEST 2023 will be available from February 2023, and the other dates are given in the table below:

NEST 2023 Application Form 

Application forms are your first steps toward the Examination. It is the most crucial step, as one mistake can cancel your application form. So it is advised to fill in the correct information and documents as prescribed. 

It is also advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form so that it is not cancelled. The application form for NEST 2023 will be released from February 2023 on the official website only.

• The application form will be available on the official website only. 
• The start date to submit the online application form is 27th February 2023. 
• The last date to submit the application form is 17th May 2023. 
• An applicant is not allowed to fill out more than one application form. 
• Candidates have to upload all the mentioned documents appropriately.
• Fill in your information very carefully.
• Fill in your details, such as Name, Date of birth, and Address, carefully to avoid application form cancellations.  
• Upload all your required documents very carefully, and should be in the prescribed format.
• Do not forget to note down your registration number, User ID, and Password. 
• Candidates should take the printout of the application form after completion for further use.
• Candidates will not have to send any hard copies. 

NEST 2023 Application Fees

The application fee is the amount that is fixed by the conducting authority. After you fill out your application form, you will have to pay some amount as an application fee for the NEST 2023 exam.

NEST 2023 Application Form Correction 

NEST 2023 application form will be made available on the online website only. If the candidates want to make changes or edit their form, the authority will provide the facility of a correction window. 

The candidates would be asked to give a valid Email ID and Mobile number, and the conducting body would contact those candidates for further changes. 

NEST 2023 Eligibility Criteria 

The official authority sets Eligibility Criteria for all applicants willing to apply for the exam. Each candidate has to follow the eligibility criteria, and if they fail, their application form will be cancelled.

Nationality 

The applicants must be Indian.

Age Limit 

• Candidates born after August 2000 can also apply for NEST 2023 but must be General or OBC. 
• There is also an age relaxation of 5 years for PWD/SC/ST category applicants. 

Education Qualification 

The applying candidates must have passed the 12th standard from any recognized board examinations in 2023-2024. 

Minimum Marks 

• The minimum marks obtained by the candidate should be 60%. 
• The SC/ST/PWD candidates can score at least 55% in aggregate in the 12th standard or any other equivalent exam. 

Appearing 

Those candidates who are appearing can also apply for the Examination. 

NEST 2023 Exam Pattern 

The exam pattern has the most helpful information about the exam. All the candidates preparing for the NEST 2023 exam should look carefully at the exam pattern to know all the information related to the exam. The exam pattern for NEST 2023 is given below:-

• Duration of Exam: 3 hours and 30 minutes
• Marking scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer
• Negative marking: No mark will be deducted for a wrong answer in section 1, and there will be negative marking in other sections.

NEST 2023 Syllabus

NEST 2023 Admit Card 

You will receive your admit card after filling out the application form and paying the application fees. Admit cards will only be available to those candidates who have completed their application form. 

The admit card for NEST 2023 will be available from April 2023. The application form would only be released on the official website. The candidates must fill in the details to download their admit cards. 

Admit cards are the most important document the candidates must carry to the examination hall. If the candidates fail to bring the admit card, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

NEST 2023 Answer Key 

NISER would mail the NEST 2023 Answer key to the candidates who will give the exam. The answer key would not be released on the official website. The NEST 2023 Answer key will be emailed to candidates in June 2023. 

The answer key would help the candidates to check their answers with the answers key and estimate their results. The authority would also allow the candidates to raise objections against the answer key. 

To object to the NEST 2023 answer key, the candidates must fill in their NEST roll number and question ID. The Final Answer key would only be released after all the objections are cleared. 

NEST 2023 Result 

Results for NEST 2023 will be released some days after the exam. The result for NEST 2023 will be released in July 2023. The candidates can see the result only on the official website. 

The applicants who would be able to see their results should apply for the next level of the exam before the due date. Candidates with their names on the result list would also be eligible for various scholarships and rewards. 

The candidates who score excellent will be given the NEST exam pass certificate. The result should be kept safe till the admissions of the applicants are successfully made; it is required at the time of counselling. 

NEST Counselling

The selected candidates who score excellent would be eligible for the counselling round. The counselling for NEET 2023 will be done online on the official website only.

All the candidates who will be shortlisted after the result declaration will be given seats in different courses from colleges and universities. NEST 2023 would not conduct any joint counselling.
