NEET SS Cut Off 2023 will be after Result Declaration. NEET-SS stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality.
This is a single entrance examination for various DM or M.Ch. Courses.
These courses are under the Indian Medical Council (Amendment Act, 2016). This article will help the candidates with all the NEET SS entrance exam details.
What is NEET-SS Examination
NEET-SS is a single-window entrance exam for all super-speciality DM (Defence Munitions) or M.Ch. (Master of Surgery) courses.
DM and M.Ch. courses are very special in our country that is in India. So, this is the only entrance exam that is conducted to get admission in these courses.

No other exam or entrance test is allowed to take the exam for the DM and M.Ch course. Not even the state or Institution level Institutes are allowed to do so.
This rule is made as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016 with effect from 2017 Admission Sessions.
The candidates who qualify for the NEET-SS entrance examination are eligible to take admission in the various DM and M.Ch. courses that are under many Institutions and Universities in this Country.
The scope of NEET-SS
The scope of the NEET-SS entrance examination is a bit limited. There is not much scope for this exam. It is a single eligibility cum entrance exam namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Super Specialty Courses’. This course includes the below- following points.
- All the private Medical Colleges and Institutions and Universities as well as the deemed Universities which holds the DM and the M.Ch course in the Country.
- All DM and M.Ch. courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.

It is also strictly announced that no State government or private Medical College including the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh shall be conducting any sort of entrance tests for the DM and the M.Ch courses.
NEET-SS Test Procedures And Important Notes
- After complete verification of identity and the biometrics of the candidate, the candidate will be escorted to the designated computer terminal in which the candidate has to perform his entrance exam.
- After escorting to the computer terminal, a Test Centre and a Test Centre Administrator (TCA) will check in the candidate for his identity and other materials.
- Candidates have to carry their Admit card and photo identification every time at the time of examination.
- As this is a computer-based exam, the candidates shouldn’t carry any sort of writing materials as in pen, paper, pencil, etc. All these products will be made available by the exam center authorities.
- The candidate has to listen carefully to the instructions given by the TCA (Test Centre Administrator).
- The candidate can use the rough sheet provided by the Test center authorities during the examination.
- 3 sides will surround each Examination block- front, left, right.
- Candidates are advised not to look around to other candidates or peep into some other’s computer system as this will lead to unfair means of passing the exam.
- This may lead to the cancellation of the admit card and can also be expelled from the examination center.
- There are also many CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras around the exam hall with clear audio and video recording. If any action is caught in the Cameras then this can also lead to unfair means of passing the exam.
- Any suspicious or disruptive behavior on part of the candidate can lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
- For any issues during the test, a candidate may raise his or her hand to notify the TCA/Invigilator.
- In case of any disruption, rest assured that a registered candidate will get to test again within the testing/examination window.
- Candidates should also note that all rough papers must be returned to the TCA after the test. Any attempt to take the rough papers out of the test center will be considered disruptive behavior and shall be liable for disqualification.
Security At The Test Centre
- Candidates are especially to notice that they are not allowed to take any of the below-following items inside the examination centre. All the candidates will be subjected to compulsory checking before entering the examination hall or centre:
- Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), notes, Plastic Pouch, Eraser, Pen, Writing Pad, or any sort of electronic computing materials such as calculators, Pen Drives, etc.
- Any electronic device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, wristwatch/Health Band, Calculator, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
- Any ornaments like bracelets, Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Necklaces with pendants, Badge, Brooch, etc.
- Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap, etc.
- Any eatable item opened or packed, soft drinks, water bottles, etc.
- Any other item could be used for unfair means, for hiding communication devices like wireless/Bluetooth devices, spy cameras, etc.
- There will be no arrangements for keeping any items for the candidates. So in case, any item is found in possession of the candidates who are barred from the examination centre then that candidate is liable to take some severe actions by the examination centre authorities.
- The actions will be considered as the use of unfair means and action will be taken against the candidate in accordance with the relevant provisions. To avoid any hardship candidates are advised not to bring such items along with them at the test center.
- No arrangement will be made at the centers for keeping any articles/items belonging to the
- Fingerprints and photographs of all the candidates will be captured and candidates are requested to cooperate with this essential activity to avoid any cases of impersonation.
- There is a security feature that will also ensure that only genuine and bonafide candidates appear for the exam and allowed to join an institute for training.
- ID verification – The original documents as mentioned above will be checked in the original. All candidates at the center shall be frisked by security guards.
