NEET PG Eligibility Criteria
Those candidates wishing to get admission to the MD/MS/MDS programs should have the eligibility criteria to apply in the NEET PG and before applying in the NEET-PG examination, candidates should have to check the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
Candidates in possession of an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass A certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing permanent or provisional registration
certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before the last week of March 2024,

MBBS Degree
On the basis of NEET PG Eligibility Criteria, candidates can get admission in an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized as per the provisions under Indian Medical Council 1956.
Registration Certificate
The permanent or provisional registration certificate for MBBS qualification will be issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC). As mentioned in the NEET PG Eligibility Conditions 2024, applicants should carry the MCI/SMC registration certificate at the NEET PG Exam centre on the day of the examination.
Internship
As per the NEET PG Eligibility Criteria, applicants should have completed or are likely to complete 12 months of mandatory rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2024
Aadhaar Card
At the time of registration, candidates should have to enter their Aadhar Card details. Those who will not have an aadhar card number must get it enrolled from an aadhar card enrollment center. Students should have to enter their 14-digit number if they have not applied for an Aadhar card.
NEET PG Eligibility Criteria for Jammu & Kashmir aspirants
As per the NEET PG eligibility criteria, likewise last year, candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are eligible for 50% All India Quota seats. These states started participating in a 50% AIQ scheme. Those students who belong to Jammu and Kashmir, will not be eligible to participate in NEET PG 50% All India Quota seats.
Those who are selected through the Government of India under central pool seats for MBBS course in medical colleges in J&K are considered eligible for admission to All India 15% Quota seats, as per the guidelines in NEET PG eligibility criteria.
NEET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates
Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test)
which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations. Further, they should have been registered with MCI/SMC and should have completed their internship or are likely to complete their internship on or before 31 March 2024.
- As per the new eligibility conditions of NEET PG, foreign nationals don’t need to possess the provisional MCI registration certificate at the time of the NEET-PG examination.
- Foreign nationals can write the exams without an MCI registration certificate
- The temporary registration will be issued with a condition that such aspirants must be duly registered with the competent registering authority of their own country.
NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Foreign Nationals
It is not mandatory for foreign nationals to have temporary registration with MCI at the time of writing NEET-PG. Foreign Nationals can write NEET-PG without MCI registration. The Medical Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate course limited to the medical college/institution to which he/she is admitted for the time being exclusively for pursuing postgraduate studies.

Provided further that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered with appropriate registering authority in his own country where he has obtained his Basic Medical qualification and is duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority.”
