Mahatma Gandhi University is responsible for organizing the Common Entrance Test for various courses. To get admission in postgraduate courses, you will require applying for the form and it can be received online.
The application procedures has been started. It is necessary to prepare through syllabus then only you will be able to know the pattern and types of questions.
To become qualified for the exam, you need to have an undergraduate degree. The eligibility factor is dependent on the department and courses.
The exam will be consisting of 90 minutes and there will be objective questions for
- MA Malayalam
- MA English
- LLM
- Master of Tourism Management
The entrance test will include the topics from the syllabus of an undergraduate degree. There will be objective and illustrative questions. There is no negative marking so you need to answer each question. The syllabus is provided by the exam official at the site.

| School of Environmental Sciences | Entrance Test will be designed as per subjects of basic sciences at degree level, general aptitude and general awareness on Environmental Sciences. |
| School of Letters | Entrance Test will be including the questions interpreting the aptitude for literary/theatrical studies. The question paper will be including essay type questions, short answer questions, and objective type questions. |
| School of International Relations and Politics | In the Entrance Test, there will be questions on the current matters. |
| School of Gandhian Thought and Developmental Studies | In the Entrance Test, there will be questions on the concerned subjects. |
| School of Social Sciences | Entrance Test will be including the questions on interdisciplinary aptitude as well as the knowledge in one’s own discipline for the qualifying examination. |
| School of Behavioural Sciences | Entrance Test will be composed of interdisciplinary manner as per the syllabus of the qualifying examination. |
| School of Computer Sciences | Entrance Test will be comprised of two parts: Part I: questions from Computer Science, and Part II: questions to understand logical reasoning and numeral ability. |
| School of Tourism and Travel Management | Entrance Test will include the objective type questions for 80 marks, i.e., English Language(30 marks), General Knowledge and Current affairs(30 marks), and Travel Geography (20 marks) and a descriptive general short essay question carrying 20 marks. |
| School of Indian Legal Thought | Entrance Test will have questions concerning the following branches of law- Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence, Fundamentals of Civil & Criminal Law, General Principles of Interpretation and Current Legal Developments. |
| School of Pedagogical Sciences | The Entrance Test will be included objective type questions for 50 marks based on the syllabus of general papers of BEd program of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU). |
| Dr. KN Raj Study Centre for Planning & Centre-State Financial Relations | Entrance Test will be structured on the basis of the syllabus of B.A. Economics program of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU). |
MGU CAT 2024 Exam Pattern
From provided options candidates have to select one correct answer. Selection of more than one explanation will not be given marks. Candidates must read full question paper correctly and the answer the question correctly.
