The MAT also is known as the Management Aptitude Test and this examination is the national-level management examination, which is organized by the AIMA (All India Management Association). The AIMA has conducted this examination to provide admission to the candidates in various management courses such as MBA in different management institutions.

Various management institutions are accepting the score of MAT to provide admission to candidates in management programs and those applicants who are interested and eligible can fill out the application form online mode from the official website of AIMA.

MAT Exam Pattern 2024

The MAT exam pattern will include the structure of the question paper such as types and numbers of questions & other details and with the help of the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to do the best preparation for the examination. The exam pattern details are mentioned below.

Session of Examination

  • The MAT Examination will be organised four times a year, such as February, May, September & December.

Exam Date

  • This MAT Exam 2024 for the February Session will be organized in February 2024 (PBT mode) and in February 2024 (CBT Mode).

Type of Questions

  • The question paper will have objective-type questions with multiple-choice answers.

Duration of Exam

  • The exam duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). There is no sectional time limit for this exam.

Total Number of Questions

  • The question paper will comprise five sections with a total of 200 questions.

MAT Marking Scheme

  • The MAT exam includes a total of 200 maximum marks.
  • Candidates will get one mark for each correct answer.
  • There will be negative marking in this examination.
  • For each incorrect answer, ¼ of the total marks or 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total score.
  • For each objective-type question, students will get four optional answers.
  • Candidates have to select the correct answer only.

MAT Syllabus 2024

The MAT syllabus will comprise five topics Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence, and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and sufficiency, and the Indian and Global Environment.
