Manipur TET Eligibility Criteria 2023

Those applicants wishing to apply for this examination; must have to check their Eligibility Criteria. The applicants should be eligible to apply for the Manipur TET examination. The Eligibility Criteria details have mentioned below.

The following persons are eligible to appear in the TET, 2023.

Minimum Qualifications for Becoming Teachers for Classes I – V (Primary Stage):

i. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

ii. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

iii. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed.).

OR

iv. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent} with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

v. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Educational Qualifications for Becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage).

i. Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

ii. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

OR

iii. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

iv. Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent} with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI. Ed.).

OR

v. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent} with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A.IB.Sc. Ed. or. B.A.Ed.l.B.Sc.Ed. or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 Year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Manipur TET Qualification Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper-II):

The frequency of Conduct of State TET and the Validity Period of the Certificate

• The test will be held every year and the validity of the qualifying certificate will be seven years.
• There will be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring the state TET certificate.
• A person who has qualified for State TET may also appear again for improving his/ her score.
• To qualify the State TET would not confer a right to a person for recruitment/ employment as it is only one of the Eligibility Criteria for an appointment.
