MAHA TET, also known as Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test, and the conducting body of the MAHA TET examination in the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations, Pune, offers teacher jobs to eligible candidates in classes I to VIII.
The State of Maharashtra conducted Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), which is necessary for primary (Classes I to V) and elementary (Classes VI to VIII) teachers in Maharashtra. Candidates must have to score qualified marks in this examination for their selection.

MAHA TET Exam Pattern 2024
Candidates must go with the Exam Pattern to better prepare for the examination. In the Exam Pattern, there will be separate questions paper for each of the two primary school teachers (e.g. 1st to 5th) and upper primary (e.g. 6th to 8th) teachers.

Paper I (Class I-V)
- As per the MAHA TET Exam Pattern and Syllabus, the paper will be divided into five topics, i.e. child development and pedagogy, maths, environmental studies, and language 2.
- Each section of the paper-I will have 30 questions, and the total number of questions in the exam will be 30 * 5, which is 150.
- For each question of the MAHA TET paper, I will be one mark, making the paper 150 marks in total.
- As stated in MAHA TET Exam Pattern and Syllabus, the exam will be objective and have multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers in Paper 1 of MAHA TET.

Paper-II (Class VI-VIII)
- Paper II of MAHA TET will be divided into three sections, i.e. child development and pedagogy, maths and science, language 1, and language 2.
- As per the MAHA TET Exam Pattern and Syllabus, will be 30 questions in each section, and the section on Maths and Science/ Social Studies will have 60 MCQs.
- All the questions in paper II of the MAHA TET Exam will be for one mark
- According to MAHA TET Exam Pattern and Syllabus, the MAHA TET exam will be objective and have multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- Paper II of MAHA TET has no negative marking for wrong answers.
