Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has managed the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination for the candidates to offer them admission in MBA programs. In the various institutes and business schools of Karnataka, admission will be provided to the candidates based on marks obtained in the Karnataka PGCET Examination.

Only based on eligibility criteria, applicants can apply in this examination and they should have to score qualified marks in this examination.

Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern

The Karnataka Examinations Authority prescribes exam patterns and syllabus for the candidates to obtain qualified marks through this preparation. The exam pattern may include the mode of the examination, the time allotted to complete the test, marking scheme, weightage given to different sections, the language of the paper, etc. The entrance test for M.Tech admissions was held for the duration of 150 minutes wherein candidates will be awarded marks out of a total of 100. 

  • Karnataka PGCET will be held in Offline Mode (Pen & Paper Based).
  • Candidates had to mark their responses on the OMR sheet.
  • Each paper carried only 1 section, except for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Engineering papers had 2 sections each – 1 regular and 1 for specialization.
  • Karnataka PGCET had multiple-choice, objective-type questions. Out of the 4 answer options available, candidates had to choose 1 correct answer.
  • There were a total of 75 questions.
  • There is no negative marking in Karnataka PGCET 2024.
