JEXPO 2024 WB Polytechnic 2nd Round Allotment Result has been Released on 10th July 2024. Counselling & Choice Filling has been Started on 21st June 2024. Phase-wise Allotment Results will be published online. JEXPO refers to the Joint Entrance Examination. JEXPO Counselling will be organized online. This counselling session, associated with the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic (JEXPO), is conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. JEXPO aims to facilitate admission into various courses offered by diverse polytechnic institutions across West Bengal.

Primarily aimed at offering admission to Diploma Programs in engineering and non-engineering disciplines, JEXPO is a state-level examination that determines candidates’ eligibility for entry into various polytechnic institutions. The counselling process is conducted in an online format, providing candidates with the opportunity to secure admission based on their ranks and preferences.

JEXPO Counselling is a pivotal stage post-examination, where successful candidates are allocated seats across different polytechnic institutions in West Bengal. It plays a crucial role in determining admission based on candidates’ ranks, allowing them to enrol in desired Diploma Programs, marking the beginning of their educational journey in the state’s polytechnic institutions. The main aim of JEXPO is to provide Admission to candidates interested in the Diploma Programme in engineering and non-engineering courses.

It is held to give candidates admission to a diploma Programme of Engineering and technology in the Polytechnics of West Bengal State. After the declaration of the JEXPO Result, the result of each candidate’s marks obtained by the candidates’ merit list will be prepared.

According to the merit list, students will be called for counselling; only selected candidates can attend the counselling procedure. Counselling is conducted in two modes: online mode and offline mode. The counselling procedure will be conducted through online mode for various courses.

The counselling procedure is organized in various rounds, where the spot counselling round may be organized in case of vacant seats.

Candidates will be available to Register for the JEXPO 2024 Counselling Process from 21st June 2024. It will be conducted through online mode.

Counselling Procedure

The procedure of counselling is explained below in detail:

• Online Registration: For the counselling process, candidates must register through the “new registration” selection. Fill in the details asked, such as enrollment number and index number, and submit details, then select Enter the password and enter the password you choose. Finally, click on the submitting button.
• Student login: The counselling process includes the student’s login; candidates shall read the admission process correctly. Select “student login” and fill in the required details.
• Choice filling: The counselling procedure consists of a choice filling; choice filling means candidates can choose the college or course as per their choice and save the choice filling for final implementation.
• Allotment of seats: In the counselling, candidate,s get the seat as per their ranks per the merit list. Seat allotment results can be seen on the website. Students must take a printout of the Final Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt after the allotment of seats.
• Verification of Documents: The counselling process includes verification of documents Students have to bring the original documents along with photocopies for verification. Documents include the certificate of academic year qualification; after taking the printout, students must appear at the reporting centre along with documents and prescribed fees at the notified date and time.

• WBJEE 2024 Admit Card/Hall Ticket.
• Print out of WBJEE 2024/ JEE Main 2024 rank from the website.
• Higher Secondary/Class XII (or equivalent examination) Mark Sheet.
• Madhyamik/ Class X (or equivalent examination) Admit Card.
• WBJEE 2024 Seat Allotment Letter.
• Receipt of Online Counseling Registration Fee (E-challan receipt).
• Category Certificate if applicable.
• PWD Certificate if Applicable.
• Domicile Certificate if Applicable.
• Passport-size photographs.
• Medical fitness certificate.

Under JEXPO, approximately 12,000 numbers of seats are available in government polytechnics.  The reservations of seats for various categories are given below:

Reporting and Document Verification

The eligible students must appear at the exam centre to confirm the documents. They need to inform the counselling of the decided date. The link will be given there for the students to review the list of Centres and addresses.

After the authentication of documents, a verification letter will be provided to the students, after which they can participate. The students who complete the authentication procedures will be given a unique user ID and Password.

Choice Filling and Locking

After document verification, the next step is to fill in and lock in the choice of colleges and courses. In the case of online counselling, the candidate will have to log in by entering the CET number. The admission authority will upload the category-wise, course-wise and college-wise seat matrix and share the link with the candidates.

This is the last step in the counselling process, where students are given seats as per ranking in the merit list and selection of colleges and courses at the time of counselling.

Seat Distribution

The aspirants will have to participate in the seat distribution to get the seat as per the provided preferences and the number of seats. The seat distribution result will be published on the page. After that, they must keep the Xerox of the Final Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt.
