JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2025
- Date of Exam: The Exam will be held in 4th week of May 2025.
- Exam Mode: The IIT JEE Advanced exam will be conducted through online (Computer Based)mode only.
- Number of Papers: The Examination consists of 2 papers. The candidates must attempt both papers.
- Number of Sections: There are three separate sections in both papers, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Question Paper Type: The question papers will contain objective type that includes MCQ and numerical answer type questions.
- Exam Timings: A total of 3 hours will be provided for each paper. Timings for paper-1 will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; paper-2’s timings will be 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Language: The candidates can use the question papers in both English and Hindi (mention the question paper medium at the time of registration).
- Marking Scheme: There is a procedure of negative marking for some of the questions.

JEE Advanced 2025 Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT)
- Exam Date: The Examination will be organized on 12th June 2025.
- Exam Mode: The AAT Exam will be held offline mode only (pen-paper-based).
- Number of Papers: The question paper will be composed of one paper.
- Number of Sections: It comprises three sections: Mathematics, Aptitude Test & Drawing Test.
- Question Paper Type: There will be objective types of questions that will be asked.
- Exam Duration: The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
- Language: The medium of the question paper will be English only.

JEE Advanced Syllabus 2025
The JEE advanced curriculum will contain chemistry, physics, and mathematics topics. Some main subjects of the curriculum are given below:
- Chemistry: Concept of atoms and molecules, neutralization, the Absolute scale of temperature, root mean square and most probable velocities and their relation with temperature, Bohr model, the spectrum of the hydrogen atom, quantum numbers, etc.
- Physics: Units and dimensions, dimensional analysis, Kinematics in one and two dimensions, Linear and angular simple harmonic motions, Hooke’s law, Young’s modulus, etc.
- Mathematics: Algebra of complex numbers, addition, multiplication, conjugation, Trigonometric functions, their periodicity and graphs, Cartesian coordinates, the distance between two points, section formulae, etc.
- AAT Exam: Exercises in geometrical drawing containing lines, angles, triangles, Understanding and appreciation of three-dimensional forms, Composition exercise with given elements, Context mapping, etc.
Geometrical Drawing
Drawing lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, etc. Study of plan (top view) and elevation (front or side views) of simple solid objects like prisms, cones, cylinders, cubes, splayed surface holders, etc.
Three-dimensional Perception
It includes three-dimensional forms of building elements with specifications such as colour, volume, and orientation. It also includes visualization of structuring objects in memory.
Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity
Composition exercise with given elements. Context mapping. Creativity checks through the innovative uncommon test with familiar objects. The sense of colour grouping or application.
Architectural Awareness
General interest and awareness of famous architectural creations – both national and international, places and personalities (architects, designers, etc.) in the related domain.
