IIST Admission 2023 Application From
Application forms are the first step that every candidate needs to fulfil to be eligible to appear for the exam. Each candidate must fill out the application form carefully with the correct information. The candidates who are going to appear for this exam will have to fill out the application form.
If candidates fail to fill out the application form, they will not be allowed to give the exam. All the information in the application form should be filled with concentration. The application form for IIST admission 2023 is given below.
- The IIST 2023 application forms will be released on the official website only.
- The start date to submit the application form for IIST 2023 for UG courses will be from 1st week of October 2023, and for PG is from 6th April 2023.
- The last date to submit the application form for IIST 2023 is from the 2nd week of October 2023 for UG courses and PG courses in the 2nd May 2023.
- One candidate is to fill out one application form on the website. No candidate can fill out more than one form.
- Applicants will have to upload all the documents that are asked for in the application form, which should be in the prescribed format.
- Every instruction that is given in the application form should be considered necessary. That is why no candidate should miss out on any instructions and follow them correctly.
- Do not make any mistakes in the application form because the form is fundamental and the exam authority can cancel your application form due to mistakes.

Steps to fill out the application form for IIST Admission 2023
Step-1: Candidates need to visit the website of the IIST admission 2023.
Step 2: Click on the “registration” button and then click on the signup button.
Step 3: Candidates will need a mobile number, email, name, and other required details to sign up.
Step-4: Confirm your registration using an OTP sent to you at your email id.
Step-5: Now log in using your login details.

IIST Admission 2023 Application Fee
The application fee is a crucial step after the application form. The candidates appearing in this exam will have to pay the application fee. The application fee is set by the exam conducting authority for the candidates.
If candidates do not fill out the application fee they will not be allowed to give the examination. The candidates can fill out the application fee in online mode only. There are different modes available to pay for the application online. The application fee for IIST 2023 is non-refundable. The IIST 2023 application fee is given below.
- For male candidates in General/OBC-NCL/EWS: INR 600/-
- For Female candidates in SC/ST/PWD category: INR 300/-

IIST Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria refer to qualifications for the exam set by the exam authorities. Every candidate has to fit the eligibility criteria to be able to appear in the exam. Each candidate must follow this criterion.
If candidates do not follow the eligibility criteria, they will not be allowed to give the exam. You should read the eligibility criteria before you fill out the application form. The IIST 2023 eligibility criteria are given below.
For UG courses
Nationality
The candidates should be Indian Citizens.
Age Limit
- Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories should be born on or after 1st October 1998.
- 5-year relaxation will be provided to the candidates of reserved categories.
Marks
- The appearing candidates should score a minimum of 75% marks for the general category.
- And the reserved category candidates have to score at least 65%.
Qualifications
Candidates appearing for this exam should have passed from class 12th by any recognized university or Board.
Subjects
Candidates applying for this exam should have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects in the qualifying examination.
Exam Test
Admission for this exam will be based on the 12th and JEE Advanced 2023 exams.
For PG courses
Qualifications
Candidates should have a degree in these courses of B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc or any equivalent degree from any recognized holder.
Age Limit
The age limit of candidates must be less than 32 years. The candidates from the reserved category will get age relaxation.
Marks
- The appearing candidates of General, OBC, and EWS must have scored 60% in the exam.
- And the candidates from reserved categories must have scored 55% in the exam.
Score Card
Candidates must have a valid scorecard of GATE, UGC NET, and JEST.
IIST 2023 Admission Procedure

UG Courses
The candidates of UG courses will get admission entirely on the scores in JEE Advanced 2023 exam. If the candidates are applying for UG courses then they will have to qualify for both the JEE exams- JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. The candidates will not get admission based on any other exam. The exam authority will generate a rank list after the application process is closed. The candidates can log in with their IDs and get access to the rank list.
PG Courses
The candidates will get admission to PG courses of the IIST 2023 exam based on their scores in the GATE/UGC/NET and JEST exams. After the candidates have qualified for this exam they can apply for the interview round which will be organized by the institution. During the interview, every candidate has to bring some documents for verification. This is compulsory for each candidate.
IIST 2023 Rank List
The rank list for IIST Admission 2023 would be released online on the official website only. The rank link will be published category-wise on the website. And the list will be only for those candidates who would have registered and filled out the application form online. And each candidate has to fill out the application fee as well. If the candidate has not done these, they will not be mentioned in the rank list.
The list will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualification exam. If two candidates have scored the same marks, this will be resolved by applying the exam procedure in descending order.
IIST Admission 2023 Cut Off
The cut-off is the minimum marks that are to be scored by the candidates to be eligible for admission. The IIST 2023 cut-off would be released online on the official website only. To qualify for this exam, every candidate should have scored more than the cut-off marks. Candidates can use their login credentials to get access to IIST 2023 cut-off.
The cut-off would be based on factors like Performance, rank, Interview round, number of seats available, and much more. After the cut-off marks are released, candidates who score more will be called for counseling. Every candidate called for counseling will have to appear as it is mandatory.

IIST Admission 2023 Counselling Procedure
The IIST 2023 counseling session will be conducted offline for the candidates. The exam authorities will be preparing a merit list for the candidates for UG and PG courses. This list will be based on the candidate’s JEE Advanced, JEE Main, and GATE/JEST/UGC scores.
To be eligible to have a place on the merit list the candidates need to fill out the application form and pay the application fee. The candidates following the eligibility criteria set by the university would be eligible. The candidates who would be designated will have to participate in the counseling process personally.
The candidates called for counseling will have to carry some documents with them for verification. The documents must be original as well as photocopied. The list of documents is given below:
- Class X certificate OR birth certificate
- Class XII (or equivalent examination) mark sheets (for those who appeared for this examination in 2022 and or 2023).
- Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate (for those who appeared for this examination in 2022 and or 2023).
- Category (EWS/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PD) certificates.
- Transfer certificate from the institute last attended.
- Candidate’s AADHAR Card.
- Entrance Test Score card & admit card
Students can select their choices on the website.
- After providing the choices on the last date of the choice, the IIST exam authority will fill the seat allotment.
- When the seat allotment is finalized, the student needs to report to the allotted institute or they can also wait for the next counselling round for upward movement if it is required.
- If a candidate appears for the particular round or last round of counselling, then some counselling fee will be charged by the exam authority, transferred to the allotted college, and settled in the total cost.
