IISER Admission 2024 7th Round Admission List has been released on 2nd September 2024. 2nd Round Admission List has been released on 30th July 2024. Counselling Registration & upload of updated Class XII marksheet and caste certificate has been Started on 25th June 2024. The entrance examination of the IISER (Indian Institute of Science and Research) is a national entrance exam.

In two stages, candidates can obtain admission in 5 years of BS-MS courses through the SCB channel. Candidates can obtain admission in seven IISER institutions: Pune, Mohali, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Berhampur, Tirupati, and Bhopal.

IISER will perform the admission procedure via online mode. Based on a candidate’s score on the IISER proficiency test, admission will be offered on the SCB channel at its affiliated campuses. Admissions will also be provided based on the KVPY and JEE Advanced Entrance Examinations. Candidates must send the score of these two exams and download the letter of acceptance (letter of offer) to attend the notice.

Applicants who wish to obtain admission to one of the IISERs through one of the entrance exams must complete the application form. KVPY will cover 50% of the total seats, and JEE Advanced and the SCB channel will fill the remaining seats.

IISER Admission Procedure 2024 

IISER offers admissions in several channels. Subsequently, candidates can check the channel’s admission procedure.

IISER Admissions under KVPY Channel:

Candidates on this exam must first appear on the KVPY entrance examination. Based on the KVPY scorecard, IISER will grant the candidates seats. Applicants must complete the application form to participate in the consultation. Applicants must also pay the application fee according to the requirements.

IISR Admissions under JEE Advanced Channel:

In this channel, the admissions will be proposed according to the JEE Advanced score of the candidates. Only qualified JEE Advanced candidates can participate in the evaluation. Applicants must complete the application form to register for counselling.

After that, the candidate can download the acceptance letter on the official website. Candidates who register on the site will only be considered for advice.

IISER Admissions under SCB Channel: 

In this channel, the candidates must first appear in the proficiency test IISER will perform. The qualifications will be granted to the candidate based on the marks obtained in the aptitude test.

Based on the grades received, admission will be granted to candidates. The joint admission committee will award the seats to the candidates based on the options completed, the ranking, and the availability of seats.
