The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode 2024 has declared its admission criteria for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2024-25.
IIM K will follow a two-step admission procedure which takes in selecting contenders through CAT scores and final assortment by performance in Personal Interview (PI), Group Discussion (GD), and Writing Ability Test (WAT).
In the primary step, contenders are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI) from amid the candidates who have appeared in CAT, achieved the eligibility norms, and have applied to the program.

Contenders satisfying the above-said minimum eligibility criteria will be considered for subsequent stages.
Stage 1:
Selecting for Personal Interview (PI), Group Discussion (GD), and Writing Ability Test (WAT) The first stage process refers to all entitled candidates (who appear for CAT 2024 and registered online for admission to IIMK) to determine the contenders to be named for personal interview (PI) and GD/WAT.
A shortlist of contenders in each category will be formed on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS is computed grounded in the performance in CAT, Class XII, and Bachelor’s degree marks and work experience. The significance of each component in the AIS is given in this way:

- CAT Index Score Performance in CAT is an essential module in the admission procedure. Applicants are expected to achieve well in each section of the test.
- HSC/ Class XII/Corresponding/Diploma Score The percentage of marks gained in HSC/Class XII/Equivalent/Diploma score would be the total marks of all subjects that seem in the marks sheet or grade sheet regardless of the board’s regulation.
- Graduation Score Following are essential points concerning the computation of Graduation Score:
- For those who accomplished their Bachelor’s degree, the percentage of marks reported in their marks/grade sheet will be considered.
- If the percentage of marks bestowed through Institute/University does not take into interpretation marks expanded in all the subjects as supposed in the mark sheet(s) for all the years.
- Percentage marks for contenders who have not completed Bachelor’s degree will be grounded in their available marks, certified by a Head of the institution.
- Any contender with a graduation score of 60% or below gets zero weightage. Any contender with a score of 81% or above gets a maximum of 7.5%.
Stage 2: Final Shortlist:
In the second stage, the shortlisted entrants will have to appear for a GD/WAT followed by a Personal Interview (PI).
The full procedure will last for a half-day (morning or afternoon) session where the contender will be writing a short essay and participate in group discussion afterward personal interview.
The theme will be proclaimed at the site just before the GD/WAT. During the meeting, the board will appraise the academic background, quality of work experience, and other personal traits of each contender.
