The overall CAT cutoff meant for IIM Jammu is highest for the General or Open category contenders next NC-OBC contenders and PWD contenders with 72 and 70 percentiles individually. While SC category CAT cutoff is 65 percentile, the lowest CAT cutoff is for the ST candidates, which is 60 percentile.

IIM Jammu does not hold Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI) rounds aimed at the final selection rounds, neither this institute is a part of the Common Admission Process (CAP) directed through new IIMs. The primary basis of selecting and final selection for the 2018-20 batch will be the performance in CAT.
