For those wanting to be engaged in management studies amongst IIMs, the utmost significant factor of consideration is the IIM Cut-off, because of which the IIMs choose applicants for admissions.

A cutoff denotes the minimum score or percentile that a candidate must secure to get qualified through an Institute for the next rounds of the collection procedure.

CAT, or the Common Admission Test is an entry for admissions to all 20 IIMs, each having its assortment standards to admit the best from the thousands of contenders who apply annually.

IIMs have a high choice of CAT cutoffs, generally 90+ percentile. To be appropriately aimed at the pick out, students are termed for the choosing progression by IIM Cutoff and other parameters. IIM Cut off

Some IIMs comprise the CAT score as a restriction for assessment during both the chosen stages of the selection procedure. IIM Indore does not give any weightage to the CAT score in the second stage to formulate the final selection list.

The six new IIMs, namely IIM Ranchi, IIM Raipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, and IIM Kashipur, conduct a Common Admission Process (CAP) where qualified contenders must participate in common WAT and PI rounds. Still, the merit list is open distinctly through the IIMs. IIM Sirmaur, mentored through IIM Lucknow, does not hold WAT-PI rounds but generates a merit list as per CAT performance and past academic records.
