IIFT Cut-offs for MBA (IB)
No major change seems to occur in the IIFT cut-off after the release of the IIFT exam answer key by the National Testing Agency on January 9, 2023, as the official answers are on the expected line. However, IIFT test takers for admission 2023 should check, download and match their responses with official IIFT answers. This will help them to calculate their score based on the official answers and arrive at the IIFT campus-wise Cut-offs.
The IIFT 2023 entrance exam for admission to the MBA (IB) 2023-25 batch took place on December 18, 2022, and it was reported to be more challenging than in previous years. This increased difficulty level may impact the cut-off scores for IIFT 2023. While the institute will release the exact cut-off scores for IIFT 2023 after declaring the results, it is expected that the cut-offs for the IIFT 2024 MBA (IB) admission may be around 96-97 percentile, corresponding to a score range of approximately 115-120 marks out of the total 300.
IIFT Percentile Predictor
IIFT Percentile predictor prepared by experts becomes life immediately after the IIFT entrance exam. It will guide you to assess your performance in IIFT 2024 entrance exam and whether you can score the expected percentile for shortlisting. The IIFT entrance exam for MBA (IB) admission 2024 has a higher difficulty level, and a higher percentile is awarded a moderate score. After the IIFT Entrance exam, candidates are anxious to know the IIFT exam percentile score and the process of how to arrive at the accurate IIFT percentile calculation so that they understand their MBA (IB) 2024 admission chances in preferred IIFT campuses located in Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada.
As per the past trends, the required likely percentile for shortlisting for MBA (IB) admission 2024 at different campuses of IIFT would be:
- Expected Percentile for Delhi Campus: 98 & above
- Expected Percentile for Kolkata Campus: 95 & above.
Here’s how an IIFT percentile predictor works:
- Mock Test Data: The percentile predictor collects data from various mock tests of candidates preparing for the IIFT entrance exam. This data includes individual scores of candidates in different sections of the mock tests.
- Comparison with Previous Year’s Data: The predictor may also use data from the previous year’s IIFT exams to make a larger data set for analysis. This data helps compare the mock test scores and the actual exam scores.
- Normalisation: Since the difficulty level of different IIFT exams may vary slightly, the predictor employs a normalisation process to ensure fairness in percentile calculation. This process aligns the scores from mock tests and past exams on a common scale.
- Mapping Performance: The percentile predictor maps the performance of individual candidates against the entire dataset. It analyses how a candidate’s scores compare to those of others, especially about their relative rank.
- Percentile Calculation: Based on the comparison and normalisation, the predictor calculates an estimated percentile for each candidate. This percentile represents the percentage of candidates who scored below the individual candidate in the entire dataset.
- Estimated Percentile: The percentile predictor then provides the estimated percentile to the candidate. This helps them understand where they stand compared to other test-takers in the mock tests.

- Evaluation: The group discussion is evaluated by a panel of judges, who assess the candidates based on their communication skills, knowledge, logical thinking, leadership qualities, and ability to present and defend their viewpoints.
Personal Interview (PI):
