Haryana School Education Haryana has managed the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) for the post of PRT, TGT, PGT teachers in the state annually. Those applicants want to get a teaching job in the Haryana State.
They can apply in that examination on the basis of their eligibility criteria. The HTET examination is conducted every year and those applicants will be qualified in the HTET Examination, they will get the certificate through authority.

Number of Attempts: A candidate may appear for the HTET unlimited number of times.
Education Qualification: For PRT, TGT, and PGT the required minimum educational qualification is as below:
i) who intend for Classes I to V (Primary Level) and fulfill the minimum qualification.
ii) who intend for Classes VI to VIII (TGT Trained Graduate Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification.
iii) who intend for PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) an fulfill the minimum qualification.
HTET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teacher (PRT) (Level 1)
Senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009.
OR
Senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation, 2002.
OR
Senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Passed or Appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Passed or Appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation and Passed or Appearing in Final year Diploma in Elementary Education.
HTET Eligibility Criteria for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Level 2)
1. TGT Social Studies
BA/B.Com and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
BA/B.Com with at least 50% Marks and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed); in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) Regulation 2009.
OR
BA./B.Com with at least 45% Marks and 2-years Bachelor in Education (B.Ed); in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
BA/B.Com with 50% Marks and 2-year B.Ed (Bachelor of Education).
In Case of BA/B.Com, in addition to English, a combination of at least two subject 50% marks in aggregate individually in the subject during all the years of study out of the following:
i) History ii) Political Science iii) Economics iv) Geography v) Sociology vi) Psychology
2. TGT Science
B.Sc and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education:
OR
B.Sc with at least 50% marks and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009.
OR
B.Sc with at least 45% Marks and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard;
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementry Education (B.El.Ed);
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year BSc. Ed.
OR
BSc with at least 50% Marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education); And
ii) In case of BSc, a Combination of at least three subjects out of the following;
1) Physics 2) Chemistry 3) Zoology 4) Botony 5) Mathematics
3. TGT Mathematics
i) BA/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 50% Marks in Mathematics in as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation 2007, Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
BA/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 50% marks as well as in Mathematics as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation 2007, Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
BA/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks in mathematics as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard;
OR
Senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and Procedure) Regulation, 2007 published on 31st August 2009;
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks 4-year BA/BSc/B.Com.Ed. Or BA.Ed/B.Sc.Ed/B.Com.Ed in accordance with NCTE (Regulation norm and procedure) Regulation 2007, Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
BA/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 50% marks as well as in mathematics as an elective subject and 2-year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation 2007 Published on 31st August 2009; AND
ii) In the case of B.Ed, Mathematics as a teaching subject from a recognized university;
iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as one of the subjects.
4. TGT English
i) B.A with at least 50% marks in English as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009;
OR
B. A with at least 50% marks as well as in English as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation, 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
B.A with at least 45% as well as 50% in English as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and Procedure) Regulation, 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks in 4-year Bachelor in Elementry Education (B.El.Ed) in Accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and Procedure) Regulation 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
B.A with at least 50% marks as well as in English as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education);
ii) In the case of B.Ed, English as a teaching subject from a recognized university;
iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as the one of the subject.
5. TGT Hindi
B. A with at least 50% Marks in Hindi as an elective subject and 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009.
OR
B. A with at least 50% Marks as well as Hindi as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor of Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation 2007 notified on 31st August 2009;
B. A with at least 45% Marks as well as 50% in Hindi as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norm and procedure) Regulation, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009;
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% Marks and 4-year BA B.Ed; OR
B. A with at least 50% Marks Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
ii) In the case of B.Ed, Hindi as a teaching subject from a recognized university.
iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with as one of the subjects.
6. TGT Sanskrit
B. A with at least 50% Marks in Sanskrit as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009;
OR
B. A with at least 50% Marks as well as in Sanskrit as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009;
B. A with at least 45% as well as 45% in Sanskrit as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition and norm procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard;
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% Marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EL.Ed);
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed;
B. A with at least 50% marks as well as in Sanskrit as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 published on 31st August 2009;
OR
Sanskrit with at least 50% Marks from a recognized university and Shiksha Shastri/Language Teacher Course (L.T.C)/Oriental Training (O.T) in Sanskrit conducted by the Haryana Government or an equivalent qualification recognizes by Haryana Education Department.
ii) In the case of B.Ed, Sanskrit as a teaching subject from a recognized University;
iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as one of the subjects.
7. TGT Punjabi
B. A with at least 50% marks in Punjabi as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 published on 31st August 2009;
OR
B. A with 50% marks as well as in Punjabi as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
B. A with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31st August 2009;
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) in Accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) Regulation, 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% Marks and 4year B.A.Ed
OR
B. A with at least 50% marks as well as in Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
ii) In the case of B.Ed, Punjabi as teaching the subject from the recognized university;
iii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as one of the subjects.
8. Urdu
i) B.A with at least 50% marks in Urdu as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
B. A with at least 50% marks as well as in Urdu as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;
OR
B. A with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks in Urdu as an elective subject and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard;
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 Published on 31st August 2009;

i) Graduate with Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Diploma of Physical Education (D.P.Ed) or it’s equivalent from a recognized university.
ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as one of the Subjects.
10. TGT Home Science
i) B.Sc Home Science or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education;

B.Sc Home Science with at least 50% marks and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation, 2007 published on 31st August 2009;
OR
B.Sc Home Science with at least 45 Marks and 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard;

i) Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university and B.Ed from recognized University;
ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr, Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.
iii) Consistent good academic year.
x) PGT Political Science
