HP TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria, Qualification, Age – Check Here Category Wise Eligibility

HP TET (Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is the popular teacher eligibility test in Himachal Pradesh and this test is managed through the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education to offer teacher jobs vacancies to candidates across the state.

This examination is conducted to select the applicants for Primary Teachers for Class I-V and Upper Primary Teachers for Class VI-VII in the state. Those applicants will have qualified marks in this examination; they will get the certificate through the authority.

HP TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

All aspiring candidates can apply for this examination but before applying they must have to check their eligibility criteria and the eligibility criteria details mentioned below.

Educational Qualification

TGT (Arts)

• He/ She must have completed B.A./ B.Com. with at least 50% aggregate and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• An aspirant must have done B.A./B.Com. with at least 45% marks and 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) by NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
• One must have done senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
• Those who have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed. OR
• B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education).

TGT (Non-Medical)

• B.Sc.(NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR
• B.Sc.(NM) with at least 45% marks in 1 year of Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) by NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
• He/ She must have completed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) 10 OR
• You must have cleared senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc.(NM)Ed. OR
• Those who clear B.Sc (NM) with a minimum 50% aggregate and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education)

TGT (Medical)

• Clearing B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 50% aggregate and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR
• Clearing B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 45% aggregate in 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR
• An interested aspirant must have cleared Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 4 years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
• An aspirant must have completed senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc.(Medical) OR
• The candidates must have acquired B.Sc(Medical) with at least 50% aggregate and a 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) Special Education

Shastri

Candidates must have done completed Shastri with at least 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government.

Language Teacher

• One must have completed a B.A. with Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• You must have done a BA with at least 50% aggregate in Hindi and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• An aspirant must have done a BA with at least 45% aggregate with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• He/ She must have obtained a BA with at least 50% aggregate with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education 11 OR
• Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% aggregate followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• M.A. (Hindi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)

Junior Basic Training (JBT)

• 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized Board/University and should possess two years of JBT certificate courses from an institute duly recognized by the Central State Govt. OR
• You must have cleared Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate and two years of Diplomas in Elementary Education OR
• A candidate who has cleared Senior Secondary with at least 45% aggregate and two years of Diplomas in Elementary Education OR
• He/ She must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
• A desirous applicant must have cleared Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) OR
• Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education

Punjabi Language Teacher

• B.A. with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
• The BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• You must have cleared BA with at least 45% aggregate with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
• He/ She must have passed BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education OR
• At least 50% aggregate in Giani followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• M.A. (Punjabi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)

Urdu Language Teacher

• B.A. with Urdu as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
• The BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• The BA with at least 45% aggregate with Urdu and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• The BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education. OR
• B.T. with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English & one additional subject with 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• M.A. (Urdu) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
