Personal Information:

• Enter the candidate’s name, mother’s name, and father’s name exactly as recorded in the Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/University Certificate, using capital letters.
• Provide the date of birth in the dd/mm/yyyy format as mentioned in the Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/University Certificate.

Identification Details:

• Indian Nationals: Provide one of the following IDs: Class 12 Admit Card with Photograph, School ID Card, Election Card (EPIC No.), Ration Card, Bank Account Passbook with Photograph, Passport Number, or any other Government-issued Photo Identity Card.
• NRIs: Provide the Passport Number.

• Provide a mobile number and e-mail address, either of the candidate or their parents/guardian.

Step 2: Fill in the Complete Application Form

When filling out the NEET (UG) 2025 application form, candidates should follow these guidelines:

Application Particulars:

• The details entered in Step-I can be edited before final submission, except for the Mobile Number and Email Address, which cannot be changed after Step-I.

Category Selection:

• Choose from General, General-EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL from the drop-down list.
• No Caste Certificate needs to be uploaded with the application. Caste/Community documents will be verified during counselling by the relevant Central/State Counseling Authority.
  • OBC-NCL: Select if you are listed in the Central List of Other Backward Classes (available at www.ncbc.nic.in). If not in the Central List, select General.
  • EWS: As per the OM and letters issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Education, select EWS if applicable.

Nationality:

• Indicate if you are an Indian National, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Foreign National.

PwBD Status:

• Select the PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) category if applicable, following the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and MCI Regulations dated May 13, 2019.

Choice of Examination Cities:

• Choose any four preferred cities for the NEET (UG) 2025 examination. The examination centre will be allocated by a computer system, with no manual intervention.

Medium of Question Paper:

• English: Candidates selecting English will receive a Test Booklet in English only.
• Hindi/Regional Language: Candidates choosing Hindi or a regional language will receive a bilingual Test Booklet, available in both the chosen language and English. If there is any ambiguity in the translation of a question, the English version will be considered final.

Academic Details (Class 10, 11 & 12):

• Filling Details: Candidates must provide complete academic details for Classes 10, 11, and 12/Qualifying Examination. Candidates who have already passed should select the code [02 to 07] corresponding to their qualifying examination. Those appearing for Class 12 in 2025 should select the qualifying code as 01.

Application Submission:

• Only one application should be submitted per candidate.
• After final submission, specific fields can only be changed during the correction window. No further changes will be accepted after this period.
• Registration is considered complete only upon successful fee payment. Incomplete transactions will result in form cancellation.
• Hard copies of the Confirmation Page do not need to be sent to the NTA office. However, candidates should retain a copy of the Confirmation Page and proof of fee payment for future reference.
• The deduction of fees from the bank account is not sufficient proof of payment. The Confirmation Page indicates successful submission.

Details for All India Quota Counselling:

• Information like category, phone number, and email provided in the NEET (UG) 2025 application will be used for All India quota seat counselling. Requests for changes in the candidate category during counselling will not be entertained.

Special Note for Tamil Nadu State Board:

• Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Class 10 examinations for the 2021 batch in Tamil Nadu State Board were not conducted, and all students were marked as ‘pass’ with a specific disclaimer. When selecting ‘Passing Year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Sec.), the Result Mode and associated fields for Marks/CGPA will be disabled for these candidates.

Candidate’s Photograph, Signature, and Thumb Impression

Photograph Specifications:

• Must be taken on or after 01.01.2025.
• Preferably include the candidate’s name and date of the photograph.
• The photograph should be clear with the face covering 80% of the image, ears visible, and a white background.
• Photos should not include a cap or goggles.
• Spectacles are allowed only if worn regularly.
• Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
• Applications with unclear or non-compliant photographs will be rejected.
• Photos do not need to be attested.
• Candidates should keep 6 to 8 passport-size and 4 to 6 postcard-size colour photographs with a white background.

Important Notes:

• Fabricated Photos: Applications with fabricated photographs (e.g., hand-made or computer-generated) will be rejected, and the candidate will face penalties for using unfair means.
• Incorrect Photos: If someone else’s photo is uploaded, the application will be cancelled, and legal action may be taken.
• Consistency: The same passport-size and postcard-size photographs should be used for the online application form and the attendance sheet at the examination centre, counselling, and admission.

• Contact NTA Helpline: If the issue persists, contact NTA Helpline for further assistance. If necessary, make a second payment. Duplicate payments will be refunded after reconciliation by NTA.
