Step- 1: CLAT Registration

• Accessing the CLAT Application Window: To initiate the application process for CLAT 2025, navigate to the official website of the CLAT Consortium at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/. Upon reaching the homepage, locate and click on the prominently displayed ‘CLICK HERE’ button to access the application window.
• Registration Form for First-Time Users: On the left-hand side of the application window, locate the login form. For candidates registering for the first time, click on the ‘Don’t have an account? Register button to proceed to the registration form.
• Providing Registration Details: Upon clicking the registration button, a pop-up registration form will appear. Enter the following details accurately:
  • Name: Provide your name exactly as mentioned on your academic documents, such as your class 10th certificate or name change certificate if applicable.
  • Mobile Number: Enter a valid mobile phone number, either your own or that of your parents/guardian.
  • Password: Create a secure password meeting the specified criteria, including at least one numerical, one symbol, one uppercase and one lowercase alphabet, with a minimum length of 8 characters.

• Activating CLAT Login Account: After completing the registration form, click on the ‘Register’ button. An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the registered mobile number provided. Use this OTP to activate your CLAT login account.

Step 2 – Account Activation

• Entering OTP for Access: Upon receiving the OTP on their registered mobile number, candidates must input this code to gain access to the CLAT application form.
• Account Activation Confirmation: Once the OTP is successfully entered, the account activation window will display a confirmation message, indicating that the CLAT login account has been activated.
• Accessing CLAT 2025 Login Window: After the account activation process is complete, candidates will be directed to the login window for CLAT 2025. This login interface serves as the gateway to commence the application process.

Step 3 – Filling up the application form

• Accessing CLAT Application Form: With the CLAT login credentials activated, candidates can now proceed to fill up the application form.
• Uploading Photograph and Signature: Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature during the application process. The photograph should be front-facing and of high quality to ensure clarity. Signatures should be scanned copies, adhering to the file format specifications of jpg/jpeg only.

Test Centre Preference: Candidates are required to select at least three cities from the list of CLAT 2025 test centres in order of preference.

College Preferences: In this step, candidates need to mark the National Law Universities (NLUs) in order of preference. All the 24 NLUs will be listed on this page.

Reservation: Candidates will be able to select the reservation quota available in each NLU. They should fill in the required details if seeking admission under a reserved category.

Step 4 – Fee payment

Upon filling out the application form, candidates are required to proceed with the payment of the CLAT application fee. This can be done through the following steps:

• Click on the ‘Make Payment’ Button: Navigate to the dashboard and locate the green-coloured ‘Make Payment’ button. Click on this button to initiate the payment process.
• Pop-up Window for Payment: Upon clicking the ‘Make Payment’ button, a pop-up window will appear on the screen. Candidates should carefully review the instructions provided in this window.
• Select Payment Options: In the pop-up window, candidates will need to make the required selections for payment. This may include choosing the preferred payment method and specifying other relevant details.
• Proceed with Payment: After making the necessary selections, candidates can proceed to make the payment of the CLAT application fee. Follow the prompts provided to complete the payment process successfully.
