• Name of the Exam – Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET).
• Mode of the Exam– Pen, and Paper.
• Type of Questions– Objective Type Questions (MCQ).
• Level of Exam– State Level.
• Number of Papers– 2.
• Total Number of Questions– 50 questions in Paper 1 and 100 questions in Paper 2.
• Marks per Question– Both papers will have 2 marks per question.
• Duration of the Exam– 3 hours (180 minutes) for each paper.

GSET 2024 Exam Pattern Highlights

GSET Part I

• There shall be of a general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
• It will primarily be designed to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate.
• There will be 50 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each will be given, all questions are mandatory.

GSET Part II

• It consists of 100 objective-type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.
• There will be 2 marks awarded for each question.
• There is no negative marking.
• The questions in all two papers will appear both in Gujarati and English versions (except for languages and science subjects).

Applicants must refer the syllabus for better preparation for the examination and it consists of all questions of Paper I and Paper II will be compulsory, covering the entire syllabus (including all electives, without options).
