Gour Banga University B.Ed 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for Gour Banga, B.Ed admission, candidates must content the stipulated eligibility criteria as listed below:

• Both Fresher and Deputed Contenders having a minimum 50% Marks in the Bachelor’s Degree or the Master’s Degree can relate for admission.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors and scoring a minimum of 50% marks in the Honors Subject plus Pass Subjects are eligible to apply. There will be 5% relaxation for SC and ST candidates.
• The age of Fresher category candidates should not exceed 38 Years as of admission year. Deputed Teachers from any West Bengal Govt. /Govt. Aided/Government-sponsored schools or institutes having a minimum of one year of teaching experience will be well-thought-out.
• Applicants seeking any other Course of Studies/ Full-time Research Work/ Job will not be allowed to pursue this study program at once.

Gour Banga University B.Ed 2024 Selection Process

Deputed applicants: Selection will be ended based on Experience (Length of Continuous Service). Only the new in-service teachers teaching classes 9th -12th in Govt. aided schools will be considered eligible.

• Fresher Candidates: Fresher candidates are selected through the sum of marks based on their previous academic qualification as per G.O
• Physically Handicapped Candidates: The Choice of the physically challenged candidates will be made based on (a) Percentage of disability (40%) for threshold criteria and (b) score/marks depending upon their qualification as per G.O. of D.P.I

Gour Banga University B.Ed 2024 Counselling Process

The final merit list for counseling will be displayed with the counseling schedule at the University website Notice Board, i.e., www.ugb.ac.in

• Candidates must appear at the counseling venue 30 minutes before the start of counseling with the required documents. In the counseling process, the document verification and allocation of seats will be completed. The counseling program plan will be published along with the final merit lists on the university website’s agreed date.
• Interested entrants have to present themselves 30 minutes before the commencement of the process in conjunction with a printout of their Online Application Form and Original records for verification.
• Payment of INR 2000/- as counseling fees (refundable) must be placed at the time of the counseling process.
• The fee is non-refundable if the contender fails to materialize in the time of admission.

Reservation

Number of Seats Available Per College:-

Percentage of reserved seats: College 22%, 6% & 3% seats are reserved for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates accordingly according to the guidelines G.O. to the standards)

NOTE: For students applying for Management Quota, the College will start admissions under the merit lists of eligible candidates.

Fee Structure

The whole annual fee has to be paid at the time of the entrance fee only.  For Self-Financing Colleges: INR 1, 40,000.00 (FOR TWO YEARS) + Rs. 5,000.00 as refundable caution money  Break-up of Fee Structure for Self-Financing B.Ed. Colleges:  1ST YEAR Admission /Tuition Fees: Rs. 70,000.00
