The merit list will not display individually; it will display the entire candidate’s names in the merit list. Those candidates will secure qualified marks in the examination and be shortlisted in the merit list through the admission committee.

The merit list will be prepared based on aggregate marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, etc.

Procedure to Check GCET 2024 Merit List

The candidates can check their GCET merit list by following the procedure below.

• The Final merit list of GCET will be declared on the official website of GCET DTE.
• Candidates can check the merit list online mode.
• The candidates can check the merit list as per their category.
• Applicants have to verify their marks and details given in the provisional merit list of GCET.
• If any discrepancy has been displayed in the merit list, candidates can contact the admission committee directly by sending a notice within 24 hours.
• The provisional merit list will be declared in July 2024.

GCET 2024 Merit List Important instructions

The candidates can know the important instruction of the GCET merit list by following these details, which is given below.

• Those candidates will have the eligibility criteria; only they can be selected in the merit list of GCET.
• There is only for general and reserved category candidates; the separate merit list will be prepared through the admission committee.
• The merit list was prepared considering aggregate marks in Physics and Maths as obtained in GCET, i.e. candidates with higher marks will be placed above those with lesser marks.

Inter-se-merit for GCET 2024 merit list

If more than two candidates get the same marks in the examination, then those candidates will get more marks in mathematics and be placed higher. The merit list will be prepared for candidates based on marks in mathematics and physics subjects. In case there is a tie in mathematics score, the candidate with more marks in chemistry will be ranked higher.

If this discrepancy continues, Class XII aggregate physics and chemistry marks will be considered. Those candidates will get higher aggregate marks; they will be placed higher. If the aggregate of the candidates is equal, the candidate with the higher score in chemistry will be ranked higher. If the discrepancy continues, it will finally be decided based on the candidate’s age. The older candidate will be placed higher.

The candidates will be selected on the merit list based on their results, and those candidates who get the qualifying score in the different courses will only be selected on the merit list. The merit list will be declared on the official website of DTE GCET.

Courses-wise merit list

• Medicine and Dentistry
• Homeopathy, Ayurveda
• Allied Health Sciences and Nursing
• Engineering for all eligible applicants
• Pharmacy for all eligible applicants
• Architecture for all eligible applicants

For MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), and BAMS (Ayurveda)

• Based on NEET UG 2024 scores, the merit list of these courses will be prepared.
• The applicants have to secure the qualifying score in the examination of NEET 2024 to get admission in the colleges within the state of Goa.

For Degree courses in Architecture

• Those applicants seeking a Degree course in Architecture must have appeared they have to appear in the examination of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2024).
• Candidates should have to score the eligible marks in the examination of the National Aptitude Test.

For Professional Degree Courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, and Nursing

The candidate should appear and obtain a valid score in the GCET 2024 for admission to the colleges in Goa.

GCET 2024 Provisional Merit List

At the Admission Center of the Directorate of Technical Education, the provisional merit list of all professional courses will be declared on the notice board. Candidates should present at the centre per the specified time and date. The merit list also will be available on the official website of DTE GCET.

The shortlisted candidates must verify all their necessary documents at the admission centre, and the provisional merit list will be verified there. If any discrepancy is found, candidates should immediately inform the Chairmen of the Admission Committee in the letter.
