The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, has managed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) per the rules created through the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
The exam has two CTET test papers: Paper-I and Paper II. Those applicants who want to teach Classes I-V need to give Paper-I, whereas Paper II needs to be given by those who want to be eligible to teach Classes VI to VIII.

CTET 2025 Exam Pattern
Aspiring candidates must prefer the Exam Pattern for better Preparation for the Examination, and the candidates must go with the Exam Pattern and syllabus before appearing in the Examination.
The Exam Pattern depicts the mode of Examination, type of questions, number of questions, marks allotted to each question, total marks, time duration and negative marking in the exam, etc. Applicants will get an overall idea of the Examination by preferring the Exam Pattern.
- CTET is going to be conducted in the offline (Pen & Paper based) mode.
- There are two papers in the entrance exam (Paper I & Paper II).
- Paper I is conducted for candidates wishing to become teachers for classes I to V.
- Paper II is organized for candidates who aspire to become teachers for classes VI to VIII.
- Aspirants interested in both are required to appear for both papers.
- Each Paper will consist of 150 questions and will carry 150 marks.
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked in the Entrance Examination.
- Language mode of the question paper in English and Hindi.
- The total time duration of CTET 2025 is 2 hours 30 minutes.
