• General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories: Forty-five per cent (45%) marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
• SC/ST categories: Forty per cent (40%) marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility for Candidates Appearing in the Qualifying Examination in March/April 2025. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in March/April 2025 are eligible for CLAT 2025. However, they must provide evidence of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

Admission Process for CLAT 2025 UG Programme

Submission of Qualifying Examination Result At the time of admission, candidates must submit the result of their qualifying examination (10+2). Failure to do so will render the candidate ineligible for admission.

Tie-Breaking Procedure In case of a tie in CLAT 2025 scores:

• Higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section of CLAT 2025.
• Higher age.
• Computerized draw of lots.

CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria for PG.

No Upper Age Limit – There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for the CLAT 2025 examination.

CLAT PG LLM Eligibility 2025 – Educational Qualification and Minimum Marks

For admission to postgraduate courses at various NLUs through CLAT 2025, candidates must hold either a 5-year LLB or a 3-year LLB degree from a Bar Council of India-recognized institute. General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI category candidates are required to achieve a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their LLB degree, while SC/ST category candidates have a 5% relaxation, needing a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
