The CIPET is popularly known as the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology, and it was established in 1968 by the government of India with the help of the United Nations Development Program (UNPD) in Chennai. The CIPET has conducted the Joint Entrance Examination, commonly known as CIPET JEE, and the National level Entrance Examination.

CIPET JEE 2024 Syllabus

Entry qualification: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Plastics Technology, Tool/ Production/ Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Tool & Die Making DPMT/ DPT ( CIPET ), or equivalent.
