CENTAC 2024 Counselling (Started), Allotment List – Fee, Schedule, Admission Procedure

CENTAC 2024 4th Round Allotment List for Non-NEET Course has been Released on 23rd September 2024. 2nd Round Draft Allotment List has been Released on 2nd September 2024. 1st Round Allotment List has been Released on 8th July 2024. Provisional Allotment List for NEET PG Bases Medical Courses will be released in September 2024. Central Admission Committee, Puducherry, for admission into various UG and PG courses in Engineering, Medical organized counselling. Government colleges of Puducherry and other states provide these courses.

They will participate in the counselling through admission letters or notification, which will be declared officially. The CENTAC 2024 Admission Process will be administered through the Central Admission Committee, and there will not be any entrance exams. Whether they will have a name on the merit list is decided by their status in the exam.

Hence the students are commended for completing the counselling form in September  2024. After the result, they will participate in counselling based on the merit list.

CENTAC Counselling Fee

The counselling fee is required to be paid, which is Rs.850/-, and for those from SC and ST is Rs.350/-. It is submitted as a demand draft, and those not paying the counselling fee will not be allowed to attend it.

The students must be qualified to participate in the counselling and will not be informed about the counselling schedule individually. After the seat distribution and admissions, the fee is paid.

The selected students will have permission to go for counselling with all the necessary credentials and must reach out at the exact time of counselling. The students are suggested to the photocopies of documents before presenting them in the original. The admissions are given provisionally and must be accepted by Pondicherry University.

It must be made sure to go through every detail in the booklet, and those not bearing study degrees will be disqualified.

They must appear at the counselling based on the merit list produced. The counselling for all disciples of the B.Tech will be held at  CENTAC- (LE) Office, Pondicherry Engineering College, Pillaichavady, Puducherry-605 014, and they will have an obligation to fill up a college option while counselling.

The call letter can be downloaded by the link given on the web page of CENTAC, and the qualified student will be provided with counselling letters those having names on the merit list will be participating in the counselling along with certificates and a demand draft acceptable by The Conveyor, CENTAC., Puducherry.

CENTAC Counseling Procedure

The CENTAC Counseling Procedure is mentioned below for candidates to get admission to CENTAC.

• Based on seat availability, merit list, and category of the candidates, admission will be conducted through CENTAC.
• Candidates will get admission in engineering courses as per their rank prescribed subject in the qualifying examination and belong to another state.
• The University has approved the CENTAC for candidates to provide admission to B.Tech courses.
• For those candidates who have used wrong and misleading information during the counselling procedure, the admission authority will cancel, notwithstanding the admission stage, and on that candidate, a legal proceeding will be initiated.

CENTAC Counseling Procedure to Break the Tie in Merit Marks

When two or more candidates get the same marks in the standard merit list, the tie will be broken through the authority by following the order of priority.

• Percentage of actual marks obtained in Mathematics (or marks obtained before normalization)
• Percentage of actual marks obtained in Physics
• If the tie persists, it will be broken based on marks obtained in the third option (specified) subject.
• The deadlock at this stage will be broken based on the total marks in eligible subjects prescribed for the course.
• Date of Birth ( the candidate born earlier will be given priority)
