BITSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria, Qualification, Age – Check Here Category Wise Eligibility

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) will be conducted under the dominance of BITS which is Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani for various programs provided by BITS and many other related institutes. This is a university-level entrance exam held every year to offer admissions to various Integrated First Degree Programmes. Admission will be offered to the candidates into B.E, B.Pharm, and M.Sc programs after qualifying for this admission test.

(i) For admission to any of the First Degree Programs of BITS except B.Pharm: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and adequate proficiency in English.

(ii) For admission to B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.

BITSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria 

Before applying for the exam, they need to meet the eligibility criteria for admission. Those satisfying the requirements will proceed with further admission rounds.

• Qualifying Exam– Aspirants must be qualifying 12^th in the academic year 2018 from some reputed board or college
• Subjects– Aspirants should qualify for the exam with the questions PCM for B.Pharma with English. The aspirants who have PCM subjects will be considered for the exam.
• Minimum Marks– In the 12^th exam, they will need to obtain 75% in PCM/PCB and must also receive 60% per subject.
• Appearing Aspirants– The aspirants who are still completing the 12^th in 2024 will be considered for the exam.

Those who have passed their 12^th in many attempts will also be considered for the exam. Aspirants who are currently qualifying from BITS and any of the participating campuses will not be considered for the exam.

For First degree programs except for B.Pharm

• Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed their 10+2 level or its equivalent exam from any recognized board/University.
• Qualifying Subjects: Applying candidates must have passed their 10+2 level exams with the main subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Also, he/she must possess adequate proficiency in English.
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. In each of the subjects, he/she must have secured 60% marks.
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in the 12th-level exams are also eligible to apply.

For Admission into B.Pharm

• Qualifying Exam: The applying candidate must have passed their 12th-level exams or its equivalent exam from any recognized board/University.
• Qualifying Subjects: He/she must have passed their 12th-level exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics as the main subjects. Also, he/she must have adequate proficiency in English.
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics subjects. In each of the subjects, he/she must have secured 60% marks.

Admission to all the programs is subject to the conditions given below:

The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or A minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in the 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.

Only Students who are appearing for the 12th class examination in 2024 or who have passed the 12th class Examination in 2018 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2024 test. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in the 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed the 12th examination in 2017 or

Earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2024. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2024. Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2024. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the 12th examination, as mentioned above.
