Assam CEE is referred to as Assam Common Entrance Exam. It is one of the state-level entrance exams. This exam is conducted for candidates to get admission to engineering courses.

Assam Common Entrance Exam is conducted annually by the authority Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. Through this exam, candidates can get into various engineering colleges/institutions within the state.

All applied candidates should know the eligibility criteria. If any candidates fail, they may face difficulties when filling out application registration.

Assam CEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

CEE – 2024 will be based on the syllabus of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC). The examination will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and comprise a single paper of 3 (three) hours duration with the following distribution:-

Nationality:

Candidates must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam.

Residential Eligibility 2024

• It is compulsory to spend a period in the Assam state of a minimum of 20 years.
• The children of officers of all India services working in the state of Assam are exempted from the above condition.
• For officer’s children, it is necessary to study 7th class to 12th class from the Assam board.
• Candidates whose parents are transferred to the outside of Assam can get relaxation during the period for which their parents were living outside.

Age Limit

• The age of the candidate must not be below 17 or above 21 years as of 1st week 0f August 2024.
• There is a relaxation of 3 years for SC/ST candidates and 1 year for B.Sc graduates.

Qualification

• Qualifying Exam: Applying candidates must pass the 12th examination in the same sitting without any grace marks from a recognized board/university.
• Minimum Marks: Candidate must score 50% marks (45% for SC and 40% for ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.
• Subjects: Candidates must qualify for the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
