The APTET, also known as Andhra Pradesh State Teacher Eligibility Test, is regulated by the Commissioner of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, to appoint the applicants for the post of teacher (from Class I to Class VIII) in all schools (Government/ ZP/ MP/ Municipal/ Recognised Private Aided & Private Unaided, etc.) in the Andhra Pradesh.
There are many of applicants who apply for the APTET Examination based on their eligibility criteria. As per the marks scored in the APTET examination, candidates will be appointed as teachers from Class I to Class V (Category I).

APTET 2025 Exam Pattern
Candidates must have to prefer the exam pattern for better preparation of the examination, and the exam pattern displays the complete structure of the question paper, which is very helpful for the candidates to score good marks in the examination. The exam pattern and scheme details have mentioned below.
- All questions in APTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives, out of which one answer will be correct.
- There will be no negative marking.
- The Pen Paper Test Comprises of Paper-I and Paper-II.
- Paper, I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
- A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and Classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

How to choose languages
Paper-I:
The following languages are offered under the First Language in the Schools under the State Syllabus viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Gujarati. A Candidate has to choose one of these 8 Languages under Language-I of TET, those candidates should have compulsorily studied that Language either as the medium of study or as First Language at least up to Class X.
