Alternatively, candidates can qualify with a Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) or Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English. Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes. Candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes need only a pass in the qualifying examination.
