Candidates can appear in Air Force Common Admission Test 01/2024 to get selected for Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent / Short Service Commission in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches courses commencing in January 2024.

AFCAT 2024 Syllabus has been prescribed by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The syllabus highlights the topics under each section that candidates must prepare to ace the exam. The first and foremost step towards exam preparation is understanding the AFCAT 2024 Syllabus.

Knowing the syllabus, candidates can plan their preparation strategy for the exam. The standard of questions in Numerical Ability will be of matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level.

Standard and Syllabus of the Examination

(i) Syllabus

• English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms, and Phrases.
• General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc.
• Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit &Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams).
• Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

(ii) Standard

The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University).
