TNEA 2024 for Other State Students – Check Details Here

Anna University will start the registration procedure for admissions through TNEA for other state students. The final date aimed at registration is July 2024.

Contenders who become acquainted with the quantified eligibility criteria must fill out the application form, pay the fee, and provide their photograph, signature, and other documents.

TNEA for other state students in 2024 will have allotment contrary to the region-wise seats propounded via Anna University in its constituent colleges only. A merit list of TNEA for other state students will be available, and these ranks will make the allocation.

TNEA for other State Students – Eligibility Criteria

• Contenders must be an Indian citizen but not a resident of Tamil Nadu. Candidates must produce a certificate of Permanent residence in the set format in English only when completing the application form.
• Contenders must have excelled in HSC or its corresponding with at least 50% for General Category and 40% for SC/ST contenders in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
• Contenders who have accepted grades must emit good marks; besides, the minimum marks valid to the degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry will be considered.

Only the self-attested photocopies of the following certificates must be uploaded along with the application

• Recently taken a photograph (20 to 25KB)
• Mark sheets (All appearance) of HSC or Equivalent Examination
• Mark Sheet of X Standard
• Transfer Certificate / Migration Certificate
• Community Certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
• Permanent Residence Certificate
• NATA mark sheet and Hall Ticket (for B. Arch. only)
• Signature

TNEA Rank List for other state students

• The candidates’ total rank, region-wise status and Community-wise rank lists will be proclaimed online on the university’s website.
• Ranks will be assigned on the academic marks gained in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying examination decreased to 200 (Mathematics 100 and Physics + Chemistry — 100

Inter-se-merit guidelines

Where over one contender has got similar marks in the standard merit list, the inter-se merit intends to be regulated in the order of priority below.

• Percentage of marks obtained in Mathematics in the qualifying exam,
• Percentage of marks obtained in Physics,
• Percentage of marks obtained in the fourth optional subject
• Date of Birth (older candidates will be given preference).

TNEA Counselling for Other State students

Contenders from other states who have applied for TNEA 2024 counselling must be present at the counselling per the guidelines given by Anna University.

• The seat portion will be by the merit of the students as denoted by the rank list on the top of the campus and branch selected by the students.
• Contenders have got to give an initial deposit of Rs 5000/- online and produce all the original certificates during counselling.
• They would get different brochures confirmed according to the given date schedule.
• If contenders are inept at appearing because of unpredicted and unescapable reasons, they can validate their parents on their behalf, and the parent’s choice will be compulsory.
