What is NMAT by GMAC?

The NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT Exam) is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It provides access to NMIMS Mumbai and other top MBA colleges. Candidates can take the NMAT exam up to three times, which includes one initial attempt and two retakes, with a minimum interval of 15 days between each retake.

NMAT Registration 2024

The NMAT 2024 registration process will begin in the first week of August 2024 on the official website – register.nmat.org. The submission of the NMAT application form and exam schedules are expected to close by the second week of October 2024. Candidates must fill out the NMAT registration form to create an account on register.nmat.org and generate login credentials. Only then can they proceed to complete the NMAT application form online.

NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

Before registering for the NMAT 2024 exam, candidates must check the eligibility criteria. They should only fill out the NMAT 2024 registration form after confirming their eligibility. According to the NMAT 2024 eligibility criteria, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks. There is no age limit for taking the NMAT by GMAC exam.

Candidates in their final year of study are also eligible to apply for the NMAT 2024. Additionally, candidates can attempt the exam up to three times, including ‘no-shows’. Candidates need to understand the eligibility criteria before completing the NMAT 2024 registration.

How to Register for NMAT 2024?

Registering for NMAT 2024 involves creating an account on the official NMAT website, filling out the application form, selecting your preferred schools, and paying the registration fee. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth registration process.

These are the mandatory steps that the candidates should follow to complete the registration process.

• Visit the Official Website: Go to mba.com/exams/nmat.
• Initial Registration:
  • For first-time visitors, click on “Register for NMAT by GMAC.”
  • For those already registered, click on “Already registered? Login here.”
• Create an Account:
  • Enter your name, email address, and password to create a mba.com account, which can be used for NMAT or GMAT registration.
• Captcha Verification: Verify the captcha and click “Create an account.”
• Login: Use the credentials received in your registered email to log in.
• Access Dashboard: From the login dashboard, click on “NMAT by GMAC Dashboard.”
• Fill Application Form: Enter personal details and upload a passport-size photograph, then click “Next.”
• Contact Information: Enter alternate contact details, communication address, and permanent address. Click “Next” to proceed.
• Educational and Work Experience: Enter education and work experience details, then click “Next.”
• School Preferences: Add your school preferences and provide additional details about other MBA exams.
• Review and Payment: Review all the filled details in the NMAT application form and proceed to pay the NMAT registration fee.

How to fill out NMAT Application Form 2024

To complete the NMAT 2024 registration process, ensure you have the following information and complete each step carefully:

Registration

• Contact Information: Provide accurate contact details including email address and phone number.
• Personal Information: Enter your full name and date of birth exactly as they appear on your Photo and Signature ID.
• Educational Background: Include details of your educational qualifications.
• Work Experience: If applicable, provide information about your work experience.
• Programs to Send Scores: Choose up to 5 programs where you want your NMAT scores to be sent. Additional programs can be added for an extra fee of INR 200 + applicable taxes per program.
• Identification: Upload a passport-sized photograph that matches the one on your Photo ID. This photograph will appear on your admit card.
• Exam Mode: Select whether you want to take the NMAT exam at a test centre or Online Proctored at Home.
• Search Service Consent: Indicate your interest in participating in the search service and agree to the terms and conditions.

Note:- Once you book your NMAT exam, you cannot change the mode (test centre or online proctored at home) for that attempt.

For instance, if you schedule your first attempt for NMAT 2024 at a test centre, you cannot reschedule it to an online proctored exam at home, or vice versa. However, you can select your preferred exam mode again when scheduling your retake 1 or retake 2 attempts.

Fee Payment

To pay the NMAT exam fee, candidates can use the following payment methods:

Once the payment is successfully processed, the scheduled NMAT 2024 option will be activated in the candidate’s dashboard. Candidates can then schedule their NMAT exam slot. They can book any available slot after 24 hours from the time of payment.

Schedule at NMAT Test Center 2024

• Click on the ‘Book Exam’ tab to access the scheduling system.
• Choose the country, city, and NMAT test centre.
• Select the date and time for taking the exam.

Schedule Online Proctored Test at Home

• Click on the ‘Book Exam’ tab to access the scheduling system.
• Fill out the ‘My Profile’ section.
• Proceed to the ‘Scheduling Exam Appointment’ to choose the date and time for the online proctored test at home.

Upload Government-issued ID: Take a clear picture of your photo ID using a smartphone, camera, or webcam. Save the image to your PC. Upload the image to the Examity scheduling system for verification purposes.

Set Up Security Questions: Choose from a list of available security questions. Select and answer 3 security questions. Remember or note down your responses, as you will be prompted to answer one of these questions during the authentication process when logging in for the exam.

Exam Appointment

Schedule NMAT Exam 2024: Select the date and ensure you choose the correct time zone. The ‘Begin Test’ tab will be enabled at the scheduled time, so accuracy in time zone selection is crucial.

ExamiKEY

Enter Name (ExamiKEY): Enter your first name and last name exactly as instructed, without spaces or capital letters. This keystroke entry will be saved and used for authentication during login for the exam. If three unsuccessful attempts occur, a red flag will be raised.

• Download NMAT Admit Card: After completing payment, candidates can download their NMAT admit card from the dashboard.

How to Apply for NMAT 2024 Reschedule?

• Log in: Access your NMAT account with your login credentials.
• Schedule Exam: Click on the “Schedule Exam” button.
• Select Date and Time: Choose your desired date and time slot for the test.
• Choose Location: Select your preferred test center location.
• Pay Rescheduling Fee: Complete the process by paying the rescheduling fee using a Credit Card only.
• Finalize: Click on the ‘Process’ button to confirm your rescheduled exam appointment.

NMAT 2024 Registration: NMAT Retake Registration

• Attempt Limit: Candidates can take the NMAT by GMAC exam up to three times per testing year, including the initial attempt and up to two retake attempts. No-shows are also counted as attempts.
• Retake Registration: After completing their NMAT 2024 exam, candidates can register for a retake via their dashboard. They need to navigate to the retake section, select the exam mode (test center or online), and pay the retake fees.
• Scheduling Gap: A retake can only be scheduled 15 days after the previous attempt, whether at a test center or online. This gap ensures fairness and opportunity for preparation between attempts.
• Scheduling Process: Retake scheduling at both test centers and online follows the same process as the initial NMAT scheduling, involving selecting dates, times, and locations as per availability.

To register for a retake of NMAT 2024, follow these steps:

• Log in to your NMAT 2024 dashboard using your registration credentials.
• Navigate to the ‘Retake Section’.
• Choose a new date and time slot for your retake exam.

NMAT Registration for Test Takers with Disabilities

Candidates with disabilities can request accommodations for NMAT 2024 by following these steps:

• Upload Disability Certificate: Upload a scanned copy of their disability certificate during the application process.
